Do you have to take any? I have to take the ERBs tomorrow-thursday. They don't count for anything though because I'm not switching into a new high school. This is my last year of taking them though! So do you have to take any standardized tests anytime soon?

we had he TAKS test, which stood for
texas
assessment of
knowledge and
skills

or some crap like that. also, benchmark testing and the whole SAT deal.

nbd, aced'em all. :J

Minnesota
Comprehensive
Assessments
The MCAs are always a joke, though, since they're geared towards the lowest level of classes you can take ( like English Concepts or something), and they're pretty much seen as just an annoyance since we have to take them for like 3 days.

Before I started taking homeschool classes from a place in maine, I had to do the Taks test, the reason we are 49 outta 50 in the education system. In shorter:Taks test is a huge waist of time.

fellow texan?

i'd say all standardized tests are a load of BS, even moreso if your school is graded specifically on them. that leads to schools teaching solely what's on the test, so that they get compensation, and that leads to learning less real content in school, since you're busy focusing on that huge steaming pile of **** they call "what every student needs to learn".

Cumulative gen chem test (over both semesters of college chemistry), and then of course the MCAT my junior year. Fun, fun stuff ahead.

All I can think of off of the top of my head right now is Regents... stupid New York *grumble grumble*
