Episode(s) you hate from a favourite show

I thought some of the episodes during Fish Man Island Arc in One Piece was annoying like Sanji having such a big nosebleed he needed a transfusion. I love Sanji, but for some reason he really got on my nerves during this arc.

The last episode of Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju. I loved that anime so much but the last episode just hinted at Daddy Long Legs kind of tropes. It ruined the whole thing.

I hate the episode of King of Queens where Doug panics that Carrie is going to get fat and then forces her on a diet. I fail to see the comedy in that one.

I also don’t like the one where he gets mad when she gets promoted and likes her new job. I usually like Doug (who doesn’t?) but he could be pretty mean.

There was a Christmas one where they invested in stocks and got obsessed with checking it. They just yelled at each other about stocks the whole episode.

The one where Arthur was getting bullied by his brother was sad and hard to watch. Doug kept brushing it off, as he just wanted to kick Arthur out.

A lot of the filler episodes of Ranma 1/2 were pretty cringe, like that one kung fu calligrapher dude. His laugh was annoying.

i don't skip any episodes but the episode where rory drops out of college and that whole storyline to be honest. i fully believe that uni isn't for everyone and you're not less of a person for not going to college but she dropped out with no plan and ended up working for the DAR at emily's suggestion. again i'm not against people who work there but go get an internship or something? it's so frustrating because if she really didn't want to be a journalist anymore, there's no place more suited to explore different jobs and fields than uni?! i'm a rory defender but that pissed me off.

i don't hate it but the epi of king of the hill where minh joins the gun club is a hard watch BECAUSE OF THE BETRAYAL! i love that we get a minh centric episode and shes more fleshed out then what they normally give her but the heartbreak of when she reveals shes choosing the country club over them is hard to watch. i do like how there's a happy ending and i wish they explored that more.

of course the scott's tots epi of the office. i know some people who will fully skip the epi when it comes on, i'll watch but it is hard to stomach.

I hate when Sanji goes all out voyeuristic like the shower scene (IIRC, it's been a while since I saw it) in the Thriller Bark arc. I don't mind Sanji's general pervyness, but when it crosses over that line it disgusts me. I hate this in any series, too.

Scott's Tots from the Office. It has nothing redeemable about it. The main plotline with Michael is terrible, and the side-plot is Dwight and Jim feuding over an employee-of-the-month program, which is just a frustratingly annoying plot.

In I think season seven of Murder She Wrote there are a bunch of filler episodes that are apparently based on the books the main character wrote and… some of them make one wonder how J.B. is such a world renowned author.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic had a lot of filler episodes during its final season and while they aren’t inherently bad from a storytelling point of view, they just feel so random and don’t really do much to make you care about the main character’s problem. But there is one particular episode from I think season six which really had Fluttershy way out of character and the conflict of the episode is something Fluttershy is very familiar with and should have been more sympathetic towards for knowing how it feels to have that problem. The conflict was that her brother Zephyr Breeze was never completing anything he started because he was afraid of failure and not being good enough and Fluttershy yells at him for it and forces him to spend an entire night in a cave! She only apologized after being guilt tripped by seeing how awful his night in the cave was and did what she should have done in the first place. I mean Fluttershy has shown similar fears in previous episodes such as Hurricane Fluttershy where she thought that she wasn’t strong enough or capable of doing what was needed of her and overcoming that anxiety with some encouragement from her friends. She should be the most familiar and sympathetic of literally all the Ponies when it comes to being afraid of failure! You didn’t see Rainbow Dash screaming at Fluttershy for being afraid to help the other Pegasi create the huge windstorm that they needed to help balance the weather and then make her spend the night in the Forbidden Woods. RD encouraged Fluttershy to do her best and remember that RD is the hot headed Pony out of the Mane Six. I just seriously hate this particular episode because it makes Fluttershy look like an awful uncaring Pony until you guilt trip her for her behavior.

I can't really think of any right now, but a lot of filler for anime is trash. At least for Naruto it is. I've watched One Piece filler and it feels like at times it could be part of the actual story with how the adventure is based on going to different islands. But with Naruto it's really bad and you notice they're just trying to milk out time for the manga to write more. There was one about a prize winning ostrich or something? The only filler I remember genuinely liking was them trying to see what was behind Kakshi's mask. It was just funny and only lasted one episode.

I do not like recap episodes; something that I think was more common in older shows?? The recap episodes in Stargate SG-1 are such blatant filler 😖

Also not a big fan of the character that Idris Elba plays in The Office so I usually skip those episodes. That character reminds me of someone that did not like me cuz I kept accidentally making bad impressions on them 😵‍💫

You should've done funny impressions instead 🤓

I never watched The Office fully. I would just catch episodes here or there, but I've heard it's one of his less liked roles.

Oh god I just remembered a few. Bob's Burgers is a nice show about a wholesome family although a bit weird. It started off like a Family Guy show where everyone was mean-spirited, but by season 3-ish they realized it was watched by more families then their original audience so they rewrote the following seasons to be more family friendly.

But there's a few episodes that bug me so much. There's one that's about the family getting worms, but Linda wants them all to see a play regardless if they're contagious or not. None of the family is on board with this but she gets super unhinged and goes out of her way to try to make them go regardless if they compromise others or not (covid-episode)

There's also another episode where she holds a children book author hostage in the restaurant when she realizes the ex-author doesn't want to make children stories anymore and wants to pursue a career writing novels. The whole episode escalates too much and it was so unwatchable that I had to stop it several times. She can really be an intolerable character and really ruins scenes when they write her going too far.

My husband and I love Bob's Burgers (it's one of his comfort shows) but oh my god, we skip the worm episode every time. We've never seen the whole episode.. we turned it off the moment they started talking about having worms 🙃

That other episode with the childrens book author was pretty bad too, I think it could have worked in a much earlier season if it had been written in a lighter tone (like when Bob holds the food critic hostage).

I honestly love the first three seasons the most, I think its funny but doesnt get too mean in the way that Family Guy does (lowkey I enjoy occasionally watching Family Guy but it really is a mean show 😭)

I watched the worm episode, but I had to go back and push through the childrens book one several times. The message with the worms episode was so bad. She caused all of the problems in that episode and in the end the family has to stroke her ego when she gets upset. And that's how it pretty much ends.

I am a huge fan of Blue Bloods!!!!

I feel like they should have continued the series. I know Danny moved to Chicago which is not spin off but it won't be the same without the Regans. So I don't have a hate but I have a hate ending. If you haven't seen it then I recommend to go watch it!

Soul eater episode I forgot- the episode where Kid first comes to the DWMA and fight with soul and Blackstar : - ( did not like how they all interacted so negatively as I think they gotta be better and more wholistic friends!! Wanted them to resolve the conflict at the end at least, but they never did— and then just went along with each other for the rest of the show lol….

Watched Charmed 1998 recently, and I really enjoyed it, but I'll be real there are a lot of terrible episodes. Overall I love the whole series, but my least favourite episodes would be the finale episodes. They were done so badly 😭 tbf most of seasons 7-8 were unwatchable for me, I genuinely got so frustrated with the characters and their personalities (the defects of character were too many to handle)
