I am away from home today, and I brought my 3ds with me to pass the time. I spent all morning catching bugs for the bug off, fishing on the island and making lots of bells, and doing a lot of landscaping. I paid off a PWP and my house loan. I received quite a few furniture items from the bug off, including 3 from the bug series.

My battery light starting flashing. I decided I would save and quit. Why, oh why did my thumb hit the power button? Why, oh why, did I not save & continue at some point this morning? Why didn't I bring my charger with me today?

All my work for nothing. Nothing I can do now but learn from this. I won't be home until late tonight and I don't TT, so I will have to wait until the next bug off. Lesson learned. I will save & continue from now on!

Thanks for reading. It feels better to complain about this to people who understand! :D

Oh no!! That is my worst fear. I have a habit now of every time I get something I definitely want to keep I save and continue just for peace of mind.

I have no idea how or why I hit the power button instead of start. I have never done that before, and I have a launch 3DS that I bought the day it came out. I had no idea that if you hit the power button in the middle of game play, that it goes to a screen asking you if you want power off or sleep mode, and it has completely exited whatever game you are playing (unlike when you hit the home button during gameplay).

Anyway, like I said, lesson learned. Hopefully someone else can learn from my mistake too!

I have done this too! My old regular ds the start button is where the power button is on the 3ds so I have to really be careful not to do that! I still don't save as often as I should...really need to start doing that. I feel for you, that does suck :(

I don't often save and continue when something good happens, but sometimes I do, but I often save and continue every few minutes when my DS is on red, then quit on flashing. It's happened to me before lots.

I did this about a week ago and I almost cried. I spent 4 hours doing my town up and it all went down the toilet.

Aw man :( I can give you a snail clock if it makes you feel any better?

:(

Although I hate the placement of the power button on my xl, I seem to have the knack for pressing them accidentally on all the consoles!
The amount of times I do it on my dsi is insane, and I like the position of it on that!

Ah, that seriously sucks. It is so aggravating when that happens. It makes it harder when you're not a time traveler and you know that you can't just go back and redo all of it.

This has happened to me before, lots of times. I know how you feel.
If you're scared to save with the start button, you can use the select button.

This happened to me a couple of days ago except I accidentally hit the power button instead of the home button (I think was going to go to my friends list). And luckily, I didn't do much, I had just started playing that day.
