K so in another thread some people brought up thoughts of the end of the world.

Firstly lets define the end of the world,

I'm gonna go with and event or series of events that lead to the death of 90% of or species or distant children of same said group.

Now then, this thread is not to debate whether it is happening or will happen soon. Just post when you think it will happen, so you can see how wrong you are when it doesn't

If it does happen, I'll owe you a Coke. B)

I'm not trying to start a debate. I'm not saying that there isn't a god, who knows, but I hate it when people get religious on me when talking about the end of the world. I'm not saying you are.
When do I think the world will end?
I don't know, defenitley believe that it won't be 2012.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the end of most life on this planet will end in 500-1000 years.
In which time the cockroach population will have evolved to sentience and they will all live in floating cities and have radioactive swimming pools.

I'm with Sporge, I don't think it'll happen in my lifetime. I have my reasons as to why, but I'd rather not start something here.
I like Fabio's reasoning on the 2012 thing. That is more than likely the reason the calendar was never finished. It also could be that they just stopped. After making a calendar some hundred years in advance, I think I'd get bored or think it was time to stop. I don't think they stopped on that date because they foresaw the end of the world.

That is a very good point.

AS for me, I don't think the world is going to end in a long time. At least not in my life time.
