Empty House Plot ?

I have decided that I have been waiting to long to find my last favourite villager.
I currently have all 10 plots full on my island but I want to know how I can get someone to move out without talking to Isabelle to complain about something.
How can I make someone have the thought bubble to pop up to ask me to leave?

And once someone has how long do I have to Island Hop around using NMT to find the villager I want before someone just moves in and takes the land plot?

Complaining to Isabelle does not affect the probability of a villager wanting to move out.

Complaining to Isabelle does nothing related to visitors moving out. You can’t do anything to create the move out thought bubble (except time travel)
A villager will have a move out thought bubble about 2 weeks after the last move our by a villager who asked to leave. After that, if you say no the next villager will ask about 5 days later. If you use the thought bubble reset method a new villager will ask the next day. You can find more information on the thought bubble migration elsewhere on the forum.

if you have one particular villager you want to leave it can take a while, esp if they have been on your island a long time (friendship levels affects the odds to some extent)

But getting any villager to ask to move, if you don’t care which is very easy and straightforward.

yeah complaining to isabelle is completely fiction. that and mistreating villagers would make them wanna move out. who even spread that around. but friendship levels do affect the odds slightly. so when your new move in is the unwanted villager, no matter how many times you complain to isabelle or you hit them with a net it won't cut it.

it's just all about time. like older ac games, there's amount of days allocated when will someone think of moving (depending on when the last one moved out or just asked). someone shared the links already though! that's what i do, if someone i want to stay has that thought moving bubble i ignore them so it transfers to another the next day.

What I do mostly is time travel until somebody I don’t want has a thought bubble if you don’t want to time travel I would suggest ignoring that one villager and talk to the rest this option might take a while tho talking to Isabelle does nothing but reset them for example if you don’t like a catchphrase you report them for it and it gets reset

I’ve used this guide (link below) before to move out villagers and it’s worked pretty well for me! It doesn’t require you to TT far ahead into the future which was a concern for me
