Emojis broken?

A couple people, myself included, have noticed our emojis are broken across Android and iOS when posting on here. Anyone else?

Same. I’ve had an issue seeing Emojis. I’m on iOS. I wasn’t sure why. I’m glad it’s not just me.

Hi! It looks like there's a problem with a service that TBT uses for its emoji. We are aware and will be looking into how to fix this, although I can give no indication or promises on how long that will take.

In the meantime, I guess we'll have to use our words. What a tragedy!

(although these ones in the old style should still work at least, if you truly cannot survive without hieroglyphs)

I was having this very same issue with emoji images not showing up at all on both mobile and PC and honestly I'm glad I wasn't the only one I thought something broke on my end. But it looks as though the emoji crisis has been resolved as they're appearing again in posts, etc. and is it just me or are the emojis looking cuter, crisper and more vibrant now??

Yeah! I love how the triple sparkly is in different colors now! Very pleasant.

I mentioned this in another thread but what I believe happened is the forum host Xenforo updated the emoji designs, if you recall before there were some emojis that had their special designs but the rest of them were just the generic looking emojis. now all of them have a design that seems to be unique to this forum software.

I do quite like the sparkles, they're really cute in multiple colors

Without this thread it would have taken me a long time to notice that the emojis changed! It’ll take a bit of getting used to, but some of them are admittedly looking nicer

That's not quite it! Jeremy manually changed to a different set because the set we use isn't working right now.

ohh I gotcha! I didn't know that the forum owners were in charge of emoji sets lol, I thought it had something to do with the server itself and what it uses as defaults.

Ah I was wondering whether my phone has finally lost it xD but the issue was on computer too so I was worried BOTH my devices are kicking the bucket at the same time. Me not being the problem hasn't occurred to me lol, how reassuring. I also had problems with updating my thread earlier, it was so glitchy (but that might have been due to me being on the train and the network being awful).

I was asleep when this happened so I never got to see that new emoji set people are talking about before it got changed back to the old one

if anyone is curious, the "new" emojis that the server briefly switched to before it switched back is called Joypixels!

glad to see that the issue has been fixed — and so swiftly, too! i could be saying the nicest thing, and yet i feel like i’m being mean or emotionless if i don’t include at least one emoji in my posts LOL, so i definitely missed them.

though i gotta admit, i’m gonna miss the joypixels emojis; they were so cute! i didn’t get to see all of them, but i loved the extra blush the emoji had, and the multicoloured was so pretty!

I knew that something was wrong with some of the emojis for the past couple of days! I thought that the pages weren't loading in properly or that my internet was out of whack. I've seen a couple of people saying that there was another set of emojis that lasted for a short while before the issue was fixed, so I didn't see them rip.
