Effects of cockroaches in player house

So I just found out that if you have cockroaches in your house and a villager wants to come over and you bring them, they'll freak out and decide it's not the best time to visit you. Hamphrey just came in, and said, "Woah, you have cockroaches in your house? Never mind I'm out!" I'm paraphrasing here but it went something like that, and I thought it was hilarious!
