Well I bought a second copy of the game and my plan was to keep resetting until I got a decent town map that had plenty of space for PWPs and the like. My plan was to slowly move my favorite villagers over, grab my few remaining dreamies and I'd be set.

What I didn't count on was growing attached to most of my new villagers, so now instead of what was meant to be a reset has turned into two towns.

Has anyone else ever had this happen? I feel kinda stupid for growing so attached to pixelated animals...

That has happened to me, my second copy was for cycling and just doing whatever and now I am attached to my layout and all the villagers!

That happened to me with some of my starting villagers and random move-ins. I wasn't planning on keeping any of them, then I decided to keep one, and that number just grew. It wasn't so much that I became extremely attached to them, but that it made me consider villagers that didn't seem interesting while I was browsing villager lists or that I wouldn't usually like. I've decided to cut down on that number and let some of them go to make room for some villagers that I really want, but I'm taking my time.

Sometimes it's just fun to meet random villagers and start liking them instead of just having a list of 10 dreamies that you want from the start. :)

Yes this happens to me all the time haha. My second copy was meant to be for cycling, but nope settled down and it's just a regular second town (ignore the cycling bit in my sig ;) )

And I keep getting villagers from the campsite and not wanting them to leave, and even though I wasn't pleased when Costeau moved in via streetpass his not been nearly as unpleasant as I thought :O

I kept Francine way longer than I planned. She was my least favorite founding villager, but after Bruce moved in the two of them seemed to become best friends and I stopped her from moving out a few times even though I had planned to move her out since the beginning. I eventually did sell her though and Bruce was the next villager who asked to move out, I still feel bad separating them.

Truth be told I feel like every villager I ever had except for one really grew on me, even ones I didn't like at first like Octavian, Bella, Curlos, and Katt. Rory was awful though, he was the only villager I grew to hate more after having him.

Area9 was once a cycling town, oops. Snake was a day away from being in boxes when I decided to just keep him and it went downhill from there 8D

I think that's normal and not weird or stupid at all. Most of the villagers are super cute and have personalities that you can get attached too, especially when everyone in your town has their own distinct personality. You have that one hooligan who eats a lot, the jock who gets into fights with everyone, the cranky one who wants you off of his lawn, the peppy one who talks too much, the snooty one who brags about herself all the time, and after awhile they become like your family. I completely understand how you feel. The same things happening to me right now.

Except for Rocket... I'm still trying to get that abomination out of my town.

I want to get a cycling town but am worried this will happen. Knowing me, it will.
