Easiest way to get villagers to move?

Hi! I know I've been asking lots of questions of the forums recently, but the placement of Harry's house is so bad and I really need him to leave. There are also about five other villagers with their house in annoying places, and I'd love to move them out also to make room for dreamies. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated <3

In my experience I would talk to them once and ignore them for the rest of the time, eventually he will ask to leave

Yeah I talk to them once and ignore them for the rest of time until they ping to move. I TT a lot and talk to minimum 2-3 of my fav villagers so many times they won’t speak to me anymore and get that thought bubble. This ensures that if someone’s moving, one of the three of them will say so, and if no ones moving, they’ll say one of those rumor lines (see link)If none of them say any rumor lines or doesn’t mention someone moving, I’ll try another fav villager or save and quit and try again till someone says something but usually it doesnt Take long to figure out if someone’s moving or not.

If someone I want to move out is rumored to, I save and run past them to get them to ping me. If they ping and say they’re moving out and don’t “oh ok nvm” me then great. If they do the thing where they’re like JK not moving then I force quit without saving and ignore them completely and all their pings until the day they said they were gonna move lol

Update: I tried this method and it worked first time! Mallary is moving and she was one of the people with bad placement yay!

Yay glad it worked!! This is the method I’ve used to get all my dreamies in and unwanted villagers out. Plus, talking to your fav villagers a lot to get the rumors increases friendship while also ensuring a diff dreamie isn’t gonna unexpectedly move out! Good luck getting everyone out
