Earth Day expectations?

All I want is blue tulips in the game u.u so i'm hoping they add a new flower color or something.
I don't expect them to be added though loool.

I've been saying since Wild World every flower should have every hybrid color available. And it wouldn't mess up people's islands. It'd just change up how the colors needed would work.

As for my expectations. DIY furniture with some sort of event based crafting material. What else? xD After two events worth lol.

I really have no idea. We haven’t had any actual events happen yet (Bunny day isn’t until April 12), and I’m not sure if Earth Day is going to be the same like it has been in NL because it seems like NH is taking new approach to things.

I don't think it will be bushes, as nintendo enjoys crushing our hopes and dreams too much, so it will probably be flower furniture or something else we don't want.

I hope the update isn’t delayed, but I did hear that there would likely be some other stuff along with it too. Most likely I don’t think the event itself will be as big as bunny day though

I want to think bushes, but I fear we'll get a DIY recipe event. It being plant-based it should be pretty, but I'm not ready to spend all of that time farming balloons again. =/

I'm just going to throw an absurd idea out there for what they could, but won't, do for the Earth day event: Leif gives us a special Earth Day Ticket to travel to lush islands filled with new plants on, including bushes, that we can bring home and show to him. It'll encourage the celebration and introduction of new plant life on your island while also, ironically, destroying the ecosystem of randomly generated islands.

Maybe it's just me wanting to see more than the same old cherries, lilies and tulips on island tours. lmao

I low key hope that he sells flower bags of all the available flowers in the game and maybe a special one you can only get through him. I'm trying not to expect much so I'm not massively disappointed. I would like bushes to be related to the event somehow.

It’s probably going to be DIY based considering how much DIY is used in this game. I would love if after the event is over Leif makes a shop and ends up joining Timmy and Tommy like in New Leaf.

If Leif comes back with a shop (hopefully at some point he will even if not on Earth Day) I think it would be so cool if we could buy outdoor cacti to plant. Especially with sand terraforming this would work really well and it also makes more sense for realistic landscapes for certain player regions. I'm from the Southwest and don't love the desert but I'm sure a lot of people would be really into having outdoor cacti on their islands, especially if we could harvest their flowers and fruit!
