E-Relationships.....

there are a lot of perverted people on the internet. >:o
More than you can imagine my friend. It's unfortunate how the original purpose of the internet has turned into someone's little play world.

Well, it was bound to happen. Humans are bound to screw something up one time or another.

There was a girl I knew who met a forty year old man online and they started a relationship and he eventually kidnapped her. It made the national news. The police finally tracked her down but she didn't want to leave him.

It was a sad story that really messed her up.
Oh, I remember that story... did she know he was 40 before she met him?

honestly just be careful who you would date.... It can work out just fine though, really it helps to meet somewhere public first if you plan on meeting someone.

That totally wasn't racist. At all. It was also the most mature post I've read on this forum.

it's telling on the forums that online dating you could date a 60 year old male or female. Most of those pictures come from Photobucket or Google. Meeting a relationship in the world is better then sitting your fat ass on the computer and talking on AIM or MSN.

Indeed it isn't funny in the least bit. However, it is very much what COULD happen to any unsuspecting and innocent person.

Ehh... you need to be careful about relationships online, but that can be said about anything online I suppose.

Hmmm.....well E-Relationships are okay. You have to be careful at times though, and we all know why. Most of them don't last but the minority that do probably end up being soul-mates. Sometimes E-relationships end up being the way to find your true love. But then again, I find E-relationships okay for adults...>_>

I don't think so...but I'm not totally sure.

Eh.... I don't trust E-relationships because as my :nerd voice: Internet Safety class once said never give personal information.

It ultimately depends on the situation. For example, if it were your friends from school then obviously you'd be willing to give your personal information out. However, if it is a complete stranger, then you should be smart enough not to submit into something like that.

You have to analyze the situation carefully and think things through many times. With every rule comes along an exception =P

I think it's completely disgustingly wrong.
I see my sister on this game called Club Penguin and she talks to these people that she doesn't know at all and starts saying that they are her boyfriend. This person could be a 48 year old man trying to.. You know where this is going.

Yea, you should probably sit down and do some educating with her.
