Basically what the title says. I always feel like I'm going to throw up if I'm in a car going somewhere too long. The only way I can get through road trips is by forcing myself to sleep. Also, whenever I get in the passenger seat I can never decide if I want to sit upright or slouch down. It drives me crazy (Pun intended). Does driving or being driven in the car make you nauseous or no? Post about it here.

EDIT: It probably doesn't help that I'm so tall and almost always have to pull the lever for the seat to go full back every time I get in.

EDIT: I also almost always find myself tightening my seat belt all the time and inching my body around and into the seat to try and get comfortable. And wouldn't you know, on a quick trip by the time I'm comfortable it's time to get out X.X

When I was young I used to get car sick occasionally but not really any more - roller coasters still make me nauseous though :(

Car rides didn't make me nauseous before but now I can't be in a car for more than 10 minutes.

I've only been car sick once - when I watched an anime on a portable DVD player during an hour+ long drive. Never did it again.

i decided to do that while on a long car trip to sydney from melbourne, and i got the biggest headache.
i cannot read or watch videos during a car ride.

when i was younger i use to get car sickness a lot, but its gotten better now.

i get carsick easy on long rides when i'm stressed or uncomfortable with the people around me or have no influence on music & circumstances. so driving with parents & relatives is hell sometimes..
i also am tall and have back problems, so that doesn't help ^^;

when i'm in the passenger seat of a friend and we're jamming out to our music & having nice conversations i usually dont have a problem..
i should probably get some prescription for carsickness medicine or so to prevent it on longer rides, but i always forget to do that -_- .. atleast i've put some plastic bags and paper towels in the car just in case..
i usually use train & bus for long distances tho, which i have no problem with.

I don't think I've ever gotten car sick in my life. I guess it's because I've just always been in and out of cars since I was born. We don't really have a walking-friendly area where I live so you basically drive everywhere. And when I started driving at 15, I didn't have any problems with nausea. Which is surprising because I was nauseated a lot around that time when I had a stomach problem. But none of it was caused by the driving.

No. I find riding in the car relaxing. Even with my dad's driving (his transitions are not exactly smooth), I don't feel car sick at all.

The only time feel queasy in the car is when I read something for too long.
Though when I'm in the car for over 10 minutes I start to get really sleepy. I always show up to work sleepy, lol.

Nah, only if I'm reading/gaming/doing anything that requires me to look down for an extended period of time. I'm all good so long as I keep my head up!

Have any of you who do suffer from nausea tried Dramamine? I've never taken it so I can't personally attest to its effectiveness, but many people I know swear by it for car/motion sickness.

I'm only feeling bad if I read or play video games in a moving car during roadtrips.

When I was younger than 10 years old, chances are, an hour-long trip would easily make me nauseous. Now that I'm older and drive frequently, a long trip isn't actually what makes me sick, unless the road I'm taking have many turns and elevations in a short succession and/or with sport cars.

Playing video games in a car would of course get me a little nauseous, but not in a bus. Buses seem to be more stable than cars for the most part.

No I don't actually. :) But if you suffer from being car sick then you should try getting travel sickness tablets, and have them when you're on a long journey.

I never get carsick driving, but I do sometimes when I sit in the back seat of a car. Idk why

i can feel nauseous but i dont tend to get sick. the closest i got once was belching haha. although, on school coach trips with others being sick im likely to need a bag (even if i dont vom i need comfort that i wont cover everyone haha)

May be the motion, but the fact you can sleep suggests something closer to a tad of claustrophobia.
