So I am going to restart my game today after a long break from it due to University. I figured I do have some dreamies such as Kiki and Flurry etc but I think this time I am gonna just focus on the villagers I have in my town and love them instead of wanting to replace them!

On my first town it was so much effort scrolling through thread after thread on here to bid for my dreamies. They end up costing like 20mil bells each if they're first tier!! I figured it isn't really worth it!!

What are your guys opinions on dreamies and obtaining them? Also can't be dealing with plot resetting anymore, that took up way too much time!!!

Well... while I do have some dreamies, I'm not really obsessed with them. I'm the kinda person who wants to see different villagers pop up in my town, regardless whether I like them or not. It's more exciting to me when I see a random move in and it's a villager I've never seen before. And anyways, dreamies aren't worth my time, since I get bored of seeing the same people month after month. But it's nice to get one once in awhile. :P

Yeah that's a good point! It is nice seeing different villagers. I feel everyone wants certain villagers such as Flurry and Diana etc... feel the others are neglected!

I do have a few villagers I want to have in my town EVENTUALLY. But I don't want them all at once, I want it to be a journey. If I spot one of my dreamies I sure get them but I always try to have random move ins as well, it would be boring without meeting new people. I think if I had all my dreamies it would bore me too after some time, so I'd probably mix it up again - there's soo many villagers I want to get to know :) So until I find them all, I befriend whoever lives in my town and that way I found a lot of new dreamies that grew more important to me than the ones I wanted in the first place (like Diva I was so shocked when she moved in but now I really want her back)! I think tiers are very stupid anyway so I couldn't care less about them :D

I definitely have some dreamies, but for a very large portion, I kinda just like seeing who stumbles into my town. Currently, the only residents of Lunavila who were obtained through getting them from other peoples towns were Eunice and Deirdre (and Eunice wasn't even particularly a dreamy, I had just gone quite a while without a 10th villager and thought she was cute), and while I do eventually hope to replace Peggy with Colton, that's basically the only three that I plan on specifically seeking out.

In Drowsy, all of my current villagers are random villagers, but I really am hoping to get Kidd, Muffy, Kiki, Lyman, and possibly eventually replace either Dora or Cyrano with Angus. So a liiiiittle more in the way of dreamies there, but I still plan on keeping probably at least Deli the monkey, along with all of my birds.

So, I guess my opinion is that, getting dreamies can be really fun, but as a whole, I also really really like the randomness of it, I feel like it makes every town a little more special?? I actually had so many dreamies for Drowsy at first that, despite wanting a bird, I felt that I just couldn't have one, and now, due to my starters and first random move-in, I actually have three birds, and I hope to keep them all.
