Dragon Quest Builders 2 Discussion

I wonder if anyone else is excited for Builders 2. I've pre-ordered the digital version + Season Pass already... the first game is so much fun!! The only thing that annoyed me was how the monsters could destroy whatever you build easily when they attack... but you can build fortifications and fight them off. And it's possible to rebuild everything quickly, of course.

If you don't know, DQ Builders is pretty much Minecraft + Dragon Quest. You can build pretty much anything and the 2nd game has... mutilplayer!

I am very excited for this game! I won't be buying it right away though--I have enough games to play through for now haha!
I was going to buy the first DQB a couple months ago but figured I'd wait until the second one came out to see which one I might like better.

I'm actually in the same spot! I finished DQ Builders 1 just a few weeks ago and I definitely need a bit of a break from the gameplay. :3 But I decided to get B2 now because I love all of Dragon Quest and it's a joy to see this game localized. They've had a bundle with Season Pass on eshop and I clicked on "Buy" without thinking much. xD

Definitely get the first game!! It's so much fun! What's great is that the first game has its own story-line, characters and world - so, it's not just building there. The game actually plays like an RPG. I was thinking to wait until the 2nd one, but someone told me that 1st has a lot of quests, and story, characters - I tried the game and was so happy I did!
The 2nd game is going to be much-much better, but the first one is brilliant, too. Just not as deep as the 2nd will be. But regardless - you should enjoy it and it will give you a taste of what Builders 2 will be like. :3

Oh, sorry to hear about your local store!! By the way, you can get it digitally - the game is... 2Gb, I think. So, it would fit on your Switch system memory easily. :3 But a physical copy is kind of better, yeah. I somewhat regret not getting it (physical) because the artwork is amazing!

And don't worry, I'm sure you'll have a great time with the game when you get it!! ^_^ I got my digital copy on 12th but still haven't played it, haha. It's just that I finished the first game only a few weeks ago, so want to take a bit of a break. I know that if I'll start playing Builders 2 - that's it, I'll be absorbed in it, haha!!

I realize I am several days late to reply, so sorry xD BUT thank you for your awesome post, I think you've convinced me to buy DQB1 haha! I've been hearing really great things about the second game and have even watched a few gameplay videos. Looks super fun!

Awesome, I hope you'll like DQ B 1 <3 It's a bit of a spoiler but the final chapter of the game will be soooo much fun. And if some moments will be confusing - feel free to ask me for an advice. I've had a few "what should I do now??" times while playing it, hah. : p

And yeah, from what I saw - the 2nd game is as good, but even deeper!
