i used to love the concept of dreamies but they're kind of the reason i restarted my last two towns, i realized i didn't like my town theme and i got bored of them too, so i couldn't just tear my whole town apart because i still had those villagers and they would take forever to all move out ya know and i used to always spend hours upon hours choosing where their houses go and i don't **** with that anymore because it's so boring plus getting to see what villager is moving in and having villager enemies that you always hit with nets is way better than having an aesthetic town if an elephant moves in my forest themed town then so be it anyways that was just me rambling but: dont people get sick of their dreamies? i can't believe how many people have dreamies like of course i have villagers i would love to move in but i don't go out of my way to get them

also wow this is probably hard to read with no punctuation

I think it depends what kind of person you are. For me personally I don't get sick of them, and when I reset I find myself just wanting the same villagers I've always had since they're my favourites. I do have a second copy of the game though, and it can be fun experiencing new villagers in that town.

Some do, some dont. I'll never outgrow Eugene. I have recently gotten rid of Marshal because for one, hes popular, and second, gets boring quite quickly. I moved him out so I can get Jacques in.

I havent gotten sick of them and have had them for almost a year now!
I think its because im not allowing myself to become bored with the game by trying knew things

I don't, but that's mainly because Bunifrey is my favorite town and I'm super partial to bunnies so yeah. I love everyone in that town.

My one other town has mostly hamster villagers, but the only ones I really like are Flurry, Hamphrey and kinda Soleil.

I feel like a bad person saying this, but yes, I do sometimes get bored with my dreamies. As soon as I get their pics, I'm like "Okay now. This one I should stop talking to". But at the same time, I do admit that I'm taking them for granted, and I'm reminding myself that I'm lucky to have these villagers. :)

Nah I love all my dreamies and wish I had just 1 more to just put favorites that dint make the final cut
Like Margie and soleil and curlos some few others
But nah I want a cycle town

But really it just depends on the person
I Personally dont get bored of them
I love them it hurts me if they move

I haven't gotten sick of my dreamies and they've been with me for about a year~ Every now and then one will move out because I lost track of time or something, but once they're in-place I don't get sick of them. A fresh start can be fun, but I still adore all my favorite villies. ^^ To each their own, of course! I don't do plot-resetting anymore since the process drives me a bit nuts, but Milky Sky has very specific home placement, and it's still one of my favorite towns to play in! :L (There's no reason to feel bad if that's your play style! Villagers moving forward with their lives and moving on is a big part of the game, as well as meeting tons of new people and forming new relationships!)

At first I didn't want dreamies because I thought it was more fun to have variety and new animals coming in. Then I got Becky and, even though she's a snootie, ugh I don't care much for a chicken. Plus the others I started off with are meh so why should I be stuck with them when I could have a bunch of cute villagers. I've already switched out dreamies but, when it's complete, I doubt I'll get sick of a bunch of stylish snooties walking around!

I mean, there is a part of me who is like "I want new villagers!! I want excitement!!", but to me, my villagers become like friends, so unless I'm really not connecting with specific villagers, it's more about wanting more villagers, not about being unhappy with the ones I have.

I haven't gotten bored of mine, no. But I think it's because I obtained them slowly, over about a year of gameplay. I didn't start the game with an official list and then cycle or TT to get that exact list ASAP, like some people do. (No offense if that's your thing, I just think it would have made the game less fun for me personally.) I just waited until a villager I disliked was moving out, and then I poked around online for anyone who was willing to let go of a villager I liked. I worked hard to obtain Antonio and Vesta, because they're my favorites, and I also deliberately moved in Deli, Lolly, and Bluebear.

But I also kept 5 of my original random move-ins just because I liked them. So it doesn't feel like I've pre-constructed this perfect little town, it feels like I got to know them over time and grew so fond of them that I don't want them to move. That's why Walt, Willow, Snake, Lionel, and Benjamin are still around. Personally, I really like this phase of the town, where I'm no longer worrying about when so-and-so will move or whether or not to let so-and-so go, and instead focusing on renovating the town.

In my main town, I have all of my dreamies but have slowly acquired them. I do admit sometimes I regret having 4 normals; it becomes a bit much for me. I wouldn't exactly be heartbroken to see Coco go for instance. I'd probably use that opportunity to get a smug or uchi. But then I panic at the thought since I have all 4 of my playable characters with fully expanded houses; the thought of having to delete one of them stresses me out. My town is also complete so I fear even with plot resetting, there may be areas I could be completely screwed. x_x

For my second town, I think I'm only going to have 5 or 6 dreamies and swap the out the others every so often. I'm not 100% behind this decision yet but I think it would be a refreshing way to switch it up and not get bored of the game.

I think it depends. When u first started the game I had quite a long list of dream villagers, still do actually, there's many I would like to experience in my town. Some dream villagers I did get over, some faster than others. There are some villagers I've had for quite a long time now, my little punchy/Rosie/Fauna....can't imagine ever getting fed up of Punchy. Or Marshal for that matter. Think sometimes I just need a bit of a change, currently hoping to cycle another 5 villagers to get Erik back, he's about the only dream villagers I regret swapping out

Some dreamies I get bored of, some I don't. Pekoe and Mira were dreamies of mine and I had both of them in my town for about 6-8 months before getting bored of them and letting them movie out. Same with Henry and Hamlet...ok, come to think of it, I guess I do tire of most of my dreamies eventually. The villagers that stay in my town for a long time tend to be the random move-ins that end up growing on me. The only dreamy I know I will NEVER get bored of is Walker because, well, I wanted him in my town since 2011 when I played Wild World. It took long enough to get him!

It depends on what kind of person you are, why you play acnl, and how much time you have.

I don't get sick of them nor have I ever reset my town. I know what I like: normal villager are my favorite personality type & squirrels are the best since they are cute and small. Thus, my dreamies will always be my favorites. I grow fond of them and get to know them. In addition, it takes a lot of time to get dreamies so it hurts if they move away! This is even more true because I do not have as much time to play as I used to. Unfortunately, like little_caicai, every now and then one will move out because I lost track of time or something.

I do see experiencing new villagers every now and then can be fun. I know villagers moving forward with their lives and moving on is a big part of the game, as well as meeting tons of new people and forming new relationships. . . but I also plan everything because its satisfying and aesthetically pleasing to make a perfect town. Therefore, its frustrating when someone moves in and ruins all my hard work of the town design/landscaping.

I too think it's more about wanting more villagers instead of being unhappy with the ones I have.

I haven't gotten sick of my dreamies yet :3 I was lucky enough to get Jeremiah in my town when I first started, and Mitzi a month later. I've never gotten tired of either of them because they're so cute! My other 8 dreamies are fairly new, but I'm happy with them all and where their houses are placed, so I don't think I'll be moving any of them out. I thought about moving Tom out, but I think I'm going to keep him instead of moving Fauna in. I don't need 4 normals xD

I'm not sure I've gotten sick of a real "dreamie." I have a lot of villagers that I like and want in my village, which I guess are considered dreamies, but the only real dreamies that have had real staying power are, similar to what someone said before, the ones ones that moved in randomly and then grew on me, and I never want to see them go, or, the ones I sought and that actually have been with me a long time.

I've gotten bored of Julian and Marshal before; they were random move-ins. But I still have them, and Julian has grown on me.

Appreciation takes time.

lol, I think acnl has a lot to teach us about life.

Meh. Not really. I've put in a lot of time to get my town filled with my dreamies, and personally I love every one of them.
I have way too many normals for my liking, but refuse to let go of any of them.

I plan on getting a second copy and letting it do it's thing, because it might become a cycling town. However, I still personally wouldn't trade my dreamies for any other villagers.
