I don't have one yet, but I've realized lately that looking at dogs makes me really happy.

Over the Summer I'm going to get a dog, though. I want a big dog, like a St. Bernard, English Sherpdog, Newfoundland, Great Pyrenees, Bernese Mountain dog, or a Kuvasz, or just a really fluffy one like a Samoyed.

Just talk about your own dogs, favorite breeds, past experiences, ect.

I used to have 2 dogs when I was a kid.

My parents got Bandit right around the time I was born, in 1998, and he's a black and white Jack Russel Terrier.
Bandit was pretty much me when I was a kid, wild and crazy, while sympathetic and caring. He unfortunately passed away around July of 2009, around the time that Billy May's and Micheal Jackson died, I still miss that dog.

Then there was Minnie, a little Boston Terrier, who is very quiet and calm. She barley barks and honestly, she's adorable.
My parents got her around 1996 and she was the dog I hang out with the most as a little kid. She unfortunately passed away in 2006. I was really torn up about Minnie's death since I loved her as much as Bandit, and I was 7 at the time so it left a huge impact on me. My older sister recently got a Boston Terrier and named it "Jennie", and she's almost an exact reincarnate of Minnie, and it honestly made me tear up inside.

His name is Max. Cute little guy.

I looove dogs! Ever since I was born my family has always had dogs and I've always lived with them until I moved out when I started college. I miss having one while in college but I know I'm too busy to properly care for one.

Right now my family has 2 rescue dogs, a rat terrier and a red heeler mix. They can really be the weirdest dogs on the planet, but I love them to death. They're one of the main reasons I go home every now and then.

My favorite breeds would have to be corgis, beagles, border collies, Australian cattle dogs, and chihuahuas. But honestly, I've never met a dog I didn't love. I just love dogs. They make me happy and just thinking about my 2 dogs makes me happy.

Back when I lived with my parents, we used to have a Pekingese, who's sadly gone now.

I'd love to have a dog but right now I'm staying in a small apartment and it wouldn't be fair on the dog. My favorite breed is the Shiba Inu because it kind of has a fox-like face. That appeals to me :P.

So I'm actually rearing a red-eared slider turtle as a dog substitute at the moment haha.

i love dogs
i live and breathe just because dog s . . .

I have a yellow lab baby that will be celebrating his 11th birthday this year :) Having a dog is a lot of work but is also a humbling and rewarding experience. Mine is literally like a baby; he follows you around, gets mad if you're not paying attention to him, likes to go out. Like, he is eleven, but he still goes out everyday. I live in a very dog-friendly neighbourhood so every time we go out, he also gets a lot of love from neighbours and strangers, and praises for him being so sweet. However, big fluffy dogs tend to shed a lot; you need a very good vacuum. They might be intimidating for some people; some get right-down annoyed if yours tries to say hi to their 3lb chihuahua. Another thing is, once your dog is beyond a certain size, their life expectancy decreases the bigger they are. I was chatting with a man at the dog park the other day and he mentioned some dogs being so beautiful and so awe-inspiring to look at, but weighing 120lbs, they live for about five years. Also, bigger dogs cost more; they eat more and their medical bills tend to cost more because bigger doses are required.

i have a 1 year old red siberian husky named raya and a 10 year old english setter named scout. i love both of them sooo so much. scout has always been the most outgoing, goofiest dog, and he's just now starting to slow down. i'm worried that when i go off to college he'll pass and i won't be there :(

i had a sheltie named maggie that got run over (mind you the car didn't stop) a year and a half ago, and i've never gone through something so terrible. she was the sweetest thing, and i know it's weird, but i just felt like she understood me.i can still smell her and imagine every little thing. i love my mags <3

shelties, huskies, and shih tzus have to be my favorite breeds, but oh my goodness dogs.... just all dogs...

We got a dog from a friend's house. They owned a lot of dogs and they wanted to give one to us. The dog is a chihuahua and we've had it for ages.

I have 2 Dachshunds; a female named Lady and a male named Tucker. They love to burrow under blankets.

Standard poodles are pretty fun dogs, and look more like sheep than what you see in a google image search

Don't forget about the Ridgeback!

About 3 years ago we got a rescued staffie called Star. Currently she is sitting on the windowsil, soaking up the sunlight

I have 3 dogs; a pitbull, a chihuahua, and a miniature pinscher. I really want an Italian Greyhound though :(

My family has always loved dogs! A few years ago, I was actually really scared of dogs for some reason, despite having tons of dogs the years before that. I finally got over it when my mom brought a puppy home! He was so cute and I didn't touch him or anything, but he was so playful and kept tugging on my pajamas. Eventually touched him and I was so proud of myself for getting over my fear!!

I don't have a picture handy, but this is very similar to what my last dog looked like.
Black-Lhasa-Poo.jpg

He was a Lhasa Apso/Poodle mix and just the sweetest thing ever. He was hit by a car when I was in 8th grade (so like 12 years ago) and I haven't had a pet since. Hoping that once I am out of my apartment and in a place with a yard, I'll have one again. Another mix like that would be awesome, or some kind of terrior. But really, who am I kidding I would love any dog at all.
