Dogs or cats?

As with their real world counterparts, I like the cat and dog villagers pretty evenly. Both species have a number of villagers that I am fond of. That said, while there are a few more cats (8) than dogs (6) that I really like, I think I have to give the vote to the dogs. Reason being, a pet peeve of mine is villagers lacking features in their designs, and most of the cat villagers lack noses. It's distracting and is part of why I also dislike Marshal and Flurry.

I like the dogs better and Goldie is my favorite, but their ears though, look a little bit strange. The cats are pretty nice also, but I'm a dog lover and I have my own puppy. He loves hanging around with me when I'm playing Animal Crossing, especially when I give him his favorite food from woofbarkgrowl.co.uk. I have some cats in my village too, and I would say that they have better-designed villagers, but I don't mind, because the game overall it's great.

I love them both in real life, but in the game, I prefer the cats. The dogs are just shaped weirdly in my opinion.

Probably dogs, although I don't find either of the base models very exciting in the game. I wish they had more specific models for the different dog breeds, like how they do with the special characters. If I could have a bulldog like Booker or an Akita like Copper for a villager that would really put dogs over the top. But I've honestly never really understood all the hype over cat villagers.

I've had many dogs and cats as pets since I was a little child and currently have 5 dogs and 4 cats and I'm still very much in favour of cats. I love their pointy ears! I also love how cats have personality and attitude. Dogs have it too and they provided unconditional love but sometimes it gets exhaustive. I don't mind all the cat villagers in the game but my favourite is Merry, she's just adorable and I make her say meow
