I'm in the process of landscaping my town, and I really would like some nice natural dirt paths. I haven't really noticed much going on (and I reload a couple times each day) so I was wondering if the fact I have BT in place could be slowing things down? As far as I can remember I haven't read anything either way.

I have the Beautiful Town ordinance enacted, and my grass deterioration is pretty bad, so I don't think it slows things down.

I could be wrong though, since I do run a lot, so I guess it's not a huge surprise that my grass deterioration is bad.

I have some paths down at the moment so I can confine all my running to where I want my dirt paths to be... I changed the pattern a few days ago and I didn't notice any deterioration underneath at all ;~;

I think I'll spend more time trying to find a nice pattern so that it's not the end of the world if it takes ages for the paths to develop.

Nope. I had dirt paths in my town with the beautifuul town ordinance. Most of those paths weren't on purpose either. :/

I don't think so. I have it and I don't run but it still deteriorates pretty fast. I TT a couple weeks forward every now and then, and come back to the real date to have it restored. (always after I tell a villager no when they ask to move, to not lose anyone.)

hmm i know plants don't die (unless trampled) with the beautiful town ordinance and flowers and trees help the grass grow so it could slow it down? maybe?

As far as I know, it doesn't. I have plenty of dirt patches with the beautiful town ordinance in place, so perhaps just keep running. Gotta go fast.

I use the beautiful ordinance and I see dirt under my paths if I accidentally kick them. It does start to come back from tt though.
