Does TBT in your ABD gain interest?

Title. I just started using it and I would like to know if they infact do.

There's always the chance it'll be brought back, but it would require an entire rework of the system and would likely function a lot differently than the prior means of collection. It's come up a few times throughout the years and definitely isn't something we're opposed to adding back!

I believe people were teaming up and depositing all their bells as a group to earn a larger amount of interest.

What if the interest earned is added towards a second, unshareable (no sending) currency that allows you to buy exclusive collectibles. You could call them BTT's (Bell Tree Tickets) and maybe 100tbt in ABD at the beginning of the month equals one BTT.
