Does Katrina's Luck Affect Random Events?

So Katrina is in my town today.. I think I have good luck or whatever I didn't really listen.

Anyway, I've had SIX different art works offered to me by animals. Crazy right?
One was genuine and two I didn't bother to buy as I already had the authentic one.

I hardly ever get these random events and then 6 in one day? 3 were from the same villager!

I was wondering if anyone else had an experience like this? After like the 3rd time it happened I purposefully ran around talking to all my villagers to get more.

That's Katrina's magic working right there. I put on my lucky item today and probably 4/5 times I talk to the animals, I get a request/get free stuff. I assume the items are still random though, but it's nice to get free stuff.
