not just a gun on it's own, but the idea of anyone around me having one does scare me since people can make poor decisions and that's a lot of power to have. I don't think about it when I'm out though. I've shot a few shotguns and a pistol at ranges, though. It was fun I guess, but it was really loud. I don't really have a desire to do it again tbh i'd probably try archery if i wanted to shoot targets
