Does it matter if an amiibo card is used or new/never scanned?

Thinking of buying my favorite villager Fauna’s amiibo card online on ebay. Some say never scanned while some say used. Does it matter if someone previously scanned an amiibo card? Can I still get the villager? Will it have the previous scanners data on it? Can I share the card with a friend and we both can get Fauna on different Switch consoles?

No, it doesn't matter. You can use the card multiple times, and with multiple consoles/games.

There's no difference. The card isn't affected by being scanned.

We can register a Mii and a nickname even on an amiibo card. But we are always able to delete these data on another console
