Does Isabelle Still Announce Meteor Showers?

So, I'm confused. Before the latest update I discovered I have a meteor shower on July 29th. Since I've been TTing in April lately, when I TTed back for the new update, I went to July 28th so I could enjoy it again. I TTed forward a day and... Isabelle didn't announce it. I was a little worried that it somehow got "cancelled" but thought... maybe since it's technically past the day it happened on, that was the issue? And meteor showers going forward with be okay?

Then I forgot about it until I was running around and, lo and behold, I'm getting shooting stars. Like, way more than any regular night. So it seems I DO have a meteor shower after all. But Isabelle did not announce it. I checked on a second character to be sure and I'm sure she didn't. Does this mean she doesn't announce them anymore? Or could it just be a glitch with this one? Or could it be because I have a villager moving out today?

I really hope she still announces them

Did Isabelle announce/tell you to say goodbye to your moving villager on July 29? When I was time travelling, there was like one or two incidents when she announced that I have a camper instead of a shooting star and that's the same day I have a heavy shower.

Also, you can move forward or back straight to July 29 if you're just after the meteor shower since you already know that you have one on that date. You don't need Isabelle to announce that. It will save time and effort.

VIllagers move in and out. campers, and other special events (like arrival of redd) will overwritten the meteor shower annoucement. I think she also annouces birthdays too.

Oh, good! That's such a relief I mean, I don't get why she can't announce both, but I'm relieved she hasn't stopped announcing them in general!

I actually have a light shower on the day after getting a heavy shower, like literally on consecutive days. When I was about to pick up the star/zodiac fragments, I was like "Really, again?" I could not remember the exact date/s on mine, but made sure to keep those screenshots on my Switch.

As long as you're still getting the sound of those lovely meteor showers after loading the game, there's nothing to worry about Haha and oops sorry, I didn't immediately realize I'm talking to a "pro" farmer!

I've never had her announce it. I saw a video on YouTube that said meteor showers can spawn without her announcing them. I THINK I had one because I had a random burst where they just kept coming... but Isabelle had never announced it for me. Not sure if it was just a coincidence or not.

I have my second heavy meteor shower today, and for the second time, Isabelle didn't announce. The priorities that took over were the Bug-Off and now the last day of July special dialogue. Oh well, I'm sure my villagers will be mentioning later today.

she announce it but not all the time. If there are other news like campsite visitor or new villager that tends to take priority.
