does cycling work differently in 2.0?

currently trying to cycle someone out and i'm noticing that the thought bubbles stop appearing sometimes. has anyone else had this problem?

Did you time travel 15 days? Thats how long it takes for a villager to start thinking about moving out and after a villager has recently moved in.

I didn't purposely cycle but I had Blaire with a bubble on her head and she asked me to move.

yeah, i've gone 15 days. thought bubbles were appearing on consecutive days for a while, then i skipped saturday and they stopped appearing

I always TT 10 days and then 1 day forward to move Villagers out. I'm sure the system still the same.

Just keep going 1 day forward, that happen sometimes. Or you can go back to normal time and time travel again.

Are there any villagers you have who have higher friendship? If so maybe there was a villager who call your name, but it didn't appear. Or did you someone had an event where the thought bubble didn't appear?

Thought bubbles are just harder to qualify now especially with high villager friendships because they added new stuff like house invites so it’s harder to decipher now if thought bubbles are moving thoughts or just normal stuff. Yesterday I saw Ellie with a thought bubble and she just wanted to invite me over.

I guess Nintendo is making it harder to get rid of villagers or to even have an open plot.

I haven't had an issue. However, there's still events and birthdays to consider. I've never had a villager want to leave on a weekend personally so when cycling I'll go forward 14 days and then cycle 1 day at a time, skipping over weekends.

Note: I don't think that weekends actually matter but personal experience...
