Does custom houses transfer to adoption towns? *DLC Spoiler*

I've been curious if custom houses transfer to another island when someone adopts your villager you made a customized house for with the DLC. Does anyone know from trying it?

I haven't experienced it myself but I read on this forum that they revert to their original state when they are adopted
