I got the idea from my friend to sort of imagine that certain villagers are siblings- for example, I have Whitney and Fang, and they bicker just like a brother and sister.

Also I never saw it as a romantic thing but when Mott was in my town him and Daisy were best friends, they seemed to always look out for each other and send each other gifts etc.
