Does anyone else hate this?

Does anyone hate it when villagers ask for your stuff in trades and sometimes they have a really compelling trade, but they also want an item you really need, and you just sit there thinking, "I really want to trade you but I really don't want you to put that in your house.. or I really want that item but I don't want to trade you for it." It's so annoying, especially when they have a good item, and most of the time I really don't want to pass it up because you know how the villagers are. You're lucky if you get a painting for free because most of the time they try to rip you off.

What trades have you made with your villagers? were they ridiculous or fair?


Note: I'm referring more to trades that you do with your villagers, for example a villager says "hey! your name, I've been looking for said item for ages, would you be willing to trade it for my cloud flooring?"

So far all paintings that I have received from villagers are all real so I would say that my trades are fair.

Most of the paintings I bought off of villagers were real, especially those coming from Flo (I'd say only 1 was fake, and most of the paintings I have in the museum are hers, lol), but when they try to trade with me they almost always offer shirts, which is kind of crappy.

Fuchsia did this to me, I eventually started to see through all of her lies and just stopped buying from her.

I've had villagers sell or give me paintings before...but never as a trade. I don't do trades with villagers unless I was holding something I planned to give them anyway. I never catch bugs for them. I might give some of my villagers one small fish to keep as a pet if I think it would look okay in their house, but no more than that. I wasn't all that picky in the beginning of the game. Now I'm trying to make their houses look decent.

Once on my sister's town Hopper asked for her blue table and she was sure she said no but Hopper took it anyway

It is annoying when they ask for carpet or wallpaper.....since you know that they are not going to use it......but you really want the item being offered.....so you justify it by saying "I will get it back in a visit, or it will appear in re-tail, so it will be ok"

i usually do the trades because it will make my villagers happy, i dont like saying no to them and im pretty rich so :/
but if it's something i bought for my house i wont give it to them because it's just a bother to reorder it smh

Once , Ankha offered me her throne for my amethyst or some other gem. I agreed so fast. But she replaced her throne with a writing chair so I'm considering giving it back. With the paintings, usually half are fake and half are real.

I mostly trade with my villagers if what they're offering is fair (which normally isn't). I only buy paintings off of uchis, since they're the ones who offer the most and whose paintings are the cheapest, so if it turns out to be a fake, at least I won't have paid too much for it.
