Does anyone else feel like this when starting a new town?

I got a second copy of the game, so I have started up another town. It took me a while to find a layout I liked, but now that I have my layout I'm still fighting the urge to reset. I like the town that I have so far, but for some reason I wish I could keep looking for more. Anyone else ever get like this?

I feel like that too! With my second town Lotus, but I was always not wanting to reset because of my progress with hybrids and my perfect villagers!

I've practically just finished my dream town, took a while although i did hack. But now I'm like hmmm I wanna start over without!

I get the same way. I can't even explain why I get like that though. It kind of drives me crazy.
Since one of my cartridges doesn't work anymore though I'm trying to stick with my new town.

Yup! But only when I come back from hiatuses >.<
I was considering resetting my 2nd town but I didn't because I don't really care how it looks atm

All the time. I used to reset once every couple months, I'm trying super hard with my main town to not get rid of it. There'll be something usually minor that'll bother me and I'll reset real quick, or I'll finish all the shops and reset. I'm hoping that second copy will help me not reset my main town, I just want someplace cozy to play in. I have my boyfriend's copy so he said I could reset with that one. That should keep my main town safe :). Now I can make it all pretty and put down some paths. Though, tbh, that sell your town option and keep your catalog option does not help haha but I love it.

I always get that way with my second town! It is like an endless cycle, the more often you reset the more you will want to do it. That is why I have never resetted my original town. This is what makes it the main: an un-reset-able town.

when i got my second copy i restarted twice. i have a great map now but i thought i was never going to finish my town, after 3 months i'm around 80% done and i'm pretty proud of myself

Well, the urge to reset won. I'm not really sad though. I just started that town so I had no progress. It was just too similar to my other town, and that bothered me.

I just got two new towns, one I reset my original and the other one is a new cartridge. I don't necessarily want to reset but I always tend to regret where I put my house, especially on my reset town (Willow). It's actually in a good place, near the beach ramp and the bridge but it stressed me out a bit, plus the villagers on that town kinda suck. I won't reset again though because Nook paid me 31 million for my last town, and I don't want to lose that money.

If you find you can't really deal with it, depending on if you got the lump sum or installments, you can tt ahead enough to get all that money back in your ABD. If I remember right, Tom Nook factors in how much money you have in savings when he determines how much your town is worth. So if you have 40 million bells in savings, the lowest your town is worth is 40 million bells. So you won't lose a bell of it. Remember though, you need a level 3 tree, 50 days and 50 hours. It'll take some time anyways or you could just leave the game on while you are busy with other things. But I wish you luck in your town, I'm sure whatever you decide the end result'll be beautiful. :)

I didn't know at all how he calculated that! That's really interesting. I think I'm going to keep it though. I'm super bad at making decisions so I'm pretty sure it would be more agonizing to restart and have to rename everything as well ask put my house down again! Lol. Plus I did manage to get my favorite villager, Victoria, from someone here who has an amino card! I'm excited to have a new, fresh start without the clutter of my last town- it was overflowing with flowers to an unmanageable degree!

I only get the urge to restart during the first few weeks. I just need to get over that hump and once I do, I usually go on and deal with whatever layout I have.
