Does anybody feel like there isn't enough time for all the new games?

I just got Fantasy life and I love it a whole lot, but I feel like all the games I want are coming out at around the same time... I want AS and SSB4 Wii U, but I don't have the money for them.

nah, most games I can wait for and there's still plenty I have that I haven't so much as even touched

as well as a whole bunch that I'd like to get, but haven't bothered with even when I did have the money

I know what you mean! I recently got Fantasy Life and I'm picking up Alpha Sapphire on Friday. Then I also plan on getting the Ace Attorney trilogy that's being released early December. Soooo many things to play.

I think it's kinda cruel how they release all the good games during the school year...it's not really fair >.< I wish they'd wor something out. For what it's worth, I'd honestly be a bit open to skipping a few days to play my games. But I'm too nervous to do something like that -_-' So I'll just have to deal with it.

I suppose, but I take my time with games anyway so I don't worry about getting everything on release day and beating it as soon as I can or any of that.

You aren't forced to purchase games around the month of their launch date to begin with. You might even wind up getting a better deal if you wait long enough.

Also, not every single game is actually worth your time. You don't want to spend your hard-earned cash on a game that is nothing more than average.

Oh! By the way, did you know that Christmas is coming in December 25th? It's almost a month away from where are we now, so I highly recommend you come up with your Christmas wishlist with all of the stuff you want. I swear it's better to be prepared early than be late against the upcoming Black Friday and Christmas rush!

Nintendo always does that. They release all the great games at the same time around Christmas. It's not too bad if you have a lot of patience, which I do, but when I see other people playing and posting pictures of it, I get crazy jealous.

I'm guessing these companies want to release them before christmas so people can get them as gifts. I personally do not have the budget to get every game I want, especially on release date. I wait for reviews and only get a gane if I'm finished my current game. Layton and Ace Attorney are the only games that I will preorder. If you wait it out, you might find it on sale later on.

Yas, I know exactly how you feel. I'm just asking for Fantasy Life and SSB4 for the holidays. Then some cool down time until June/July comes with Majora's Mask 3D and Splatoon and maybe during the cool down I'll pick up Alpha Sapphire.

Tight schedule, I tell you. ^~^;

Yup I agree! I only have time to play maybe two games, ACNL and Pokemon. Now my town is basically completed except for meeting new villagers occasionally, I can control how often I play: sometimes just to check-in for 10 mins for movers, or sometimes to work on my badges for an hour or two. Pokemon there's no worry about anything bad happening if you take a break for a few days/weeks, so I play that whenever I feel like it.
I'd love to try Fantasy Life and a couple of other games I have my eye on, but realistically I know I won't play them, especially with ORAS just around the corner. I also have work and family stuff, and I love reading/writing/a bit of TV, so spare time gets eaten up pretty quickly. Maybe when things cool down next year, I'll have a go on Fantasy Life because it does look fun! But for now, I'll be sticking with ACNL and Pokemon :D

I feel like there isn't enough money for all these new games.

I did a quick run-through of everything I want (and everything I already told everyone I was getting), and there's at least 5 games I have to have. Now these are new releases, most being for Wii U, so they'll be at least 50$ each.

Ugh, I need a better job...

I'm addicted to Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros, and Animal Crossing. It's disgusting. And now with the Wii U Smash launching at midnight and the DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors in a week... I won't see the sun for weeks.

My coworker and I were talking about this the other day. There are many new and fun games out there but there aren't enough time for all of them. Life is so busy right now and time pass by so fast... Lol, that's the reason why I haven't bought AW because I'm gonna try to max out the money for Destiny. Fantasy Life and ACNL is taking over any gaming portion of my life right now. Being full time working and student, I rarely find any free time...

It's to be expected. Christmas is one of the most profitable times of year especially for the gaming industry, so they all strive to get their big releases (whether consoles or games from their most profitable franchises) out at this time of year. If they think it can compete against other big sellers rather than getting overlooked then yes they'll put it out there.

Usually there aren't more than a couple of titles I'm interested in around Christmas, but since September I've found prioritising game purchases to be particularly difficult. This year, the releases that I've been deliberating over are:

2014.09.19 - Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call (3DS)
2014.09.19 - Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)
2014.09.26 - Fantasy Life (3DS)
2014.10.03 - Super Smash Bros. 4 3DS (3DS) -> I've already sold this game.
2014.10.24 - Bayonetta 1 + 2 (Wii U)
2014.11.21 - Assassin's Creed Rogue (PS3)
2014.11.21 - Watch Dogs (Wii U)
2014.11.28 - Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U (Wii U)
2014.11.28 - Pok?mon Alpha Sapphire (3DS)
2014.12.05 - Kingdom Hearts 2.5 (PS3)
2015.01.02 - Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Wii U)

* bought at release.
* bought after release.
* preordered and won't be cancelling.
* still trying to decide whether or not to preorder.
* decided not to buy at release.

Definitely feeling the urge to play something new, but not sure what to go with just yet. I started playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag on the Xbox One yesterday, but looks like I'm going to have to give up with it already because while I was writing this my Dad's just told me he's getting Assassin's Creed Unity today. The Xbox One is his so I can't exactly complain. :p

Yes. I am still playing Hyrule Warriors and Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright. I also bought Pokemon Art Academy, but I only tried a few of the levels. I have Omega Ruby preordered and I will get it tomorrow, but I'm not sure how much I'll play that. Phoenix is making me deglect Hyrule Warriors, but I feel Pokemon will make me neglect them both. I asked for Assassin's Creed Rouge and Kingdom Hearts 2.5 for Christmas.

Assassin's Creed Unity is out and when Kingdom Hearts III comes out, I'm going to be so tempted to buy a ps4. If the ps3 games were compatible with it, I probably would have bought one with my brother already. Why can't it be like ps2? It plays ps1, ps2, movies, and music. It is so useful.

I completely understand, within the past two months I've got p4 Arena(literally 3 days before smash), smash, fantasy life, and harvest moon. Today I'm getting ORAS, and I have to pre-order Persona Q which comes out tuesday, and then KH 2.5 comes out in early december.
