Do Your Villagers Judge Your Outfits?

my villagers used to always criticize me for wearing the same outfit everyday but they don’t do that anymore lmao. kid cat always tells me that he likes my shirt, though, which he should since it’s hella iconic lmaoo

I usually get a comment if I wear my wet suit to speak to them . I have got the Caterpillar costume though which I wore quite alot and eventually Tex gave me a balloon hat with the same colours as he thought it would match my outfit

It's a mix between compliments and complains, although the complains coming only from my snooty and smug villagers actually. They seem to have more of a problem about my fashion choices compared to the rest of my villagers, who overall seems to find the way I dress either cool or cute. I don't mind their comments, it's quite funny to hear what they think while they also wearing sometimes some questionable outfits where I wish I could tell them my opinion about those, lol.

Usually if they comment about my clothes they will say something positive! Although, just by the way they phrase things it does feel sometimes that my snooty villagers are judging me. They haven't come out and said it but there's a vibe!

When I wore the New Horizons leaf shirt, almost all of them commented on it. They said in a round about way that it's basic and boring.

I notice if I wear something that is a bit more glamorous like the palatial tank dress they mention that I look really fancy. Their commentary does shift depending on the style of clothing, which is a nice detail.

Lol that is funny, i havent noticed it. Hazel told me once that i must have loved my outfit because i have been wearing it for days, it is really none of her bussiness since she herself would be stuck with only one if i did not keep gifting her more.

Most of my villagers compliment my outfits. The exceptions would be Cherry and Snake. Snake usually says he isn't a fan because it wouldn't show off whatever muscle group he's obsessing about. Cherry does the backhanded compliment of, "Oh, you're actually wearing <insert clothing item>? Well, I guess you can pull it off." This from a dog who refuses to wear anything but her spiderweb tee, no matter how hard I try to spruce up her wardrobe (Snake's ninja outfit actually works for him, so I haven't messed with that.).

Lol yeah! When my resident rep is wearing the diving suit they tend to comment on that. But other than that, they usually don’t. Except, weird enough, for jocks. My starter jock Antonio would usually comment about how cute-sy stuff wasn’t fit for my resident rep because it doesn’t show muscles well or something. He’s long gone now but Dom has taken his place and he also says this.

Yes! I have a few green-leaf piles in my mountainous/foresty area and my crankies keep commenting on them saying they must be a modern art sort of thing. And I'm typically sitting there like, "They are leaves, Chief. They are LEAVES!" Him and Tom also say that about the water fountain in my town square. Seriously, where are they wanting me to place a large fountain and a bunch of leaves? I would love to hear their opinion because apparently I'm doing something wrong. *shrugs*

This is what my lazies typically say to me if I'm wearing one of my summer outfits. lol
It's usually followed by, "Can you turn it down, please?" because apparently summer clothes are too "loud" for them.
