I feel like my lack of interior decorating/hoarding is transferred there.
I also love the feeling of paying of the mortgage because my real life mortgage is like 40 years so... that's the only way I get that feeling.
I wish weeding was as easy and satisfying as in acnl because I have a bad habit with my front yard.

Ah yes, I clearly remember going outside IRL and using a slingshot to pop balloons with presents attached to them that just happen to be floating around, using a shovel to randomly find fossils, and falling into pitfalls that my neighbors planted as well.

In all seriousness, probably interior decorating is the biggest one for me since I’m an organizational freak. The only other thing I can think of is checking my mailbox as often as possible since I check my email pretty much every day. :)

If only my kitten talked to me like my villagers do (although she IS just as demanding, it would seem). I'd say my love of doing favors for people translates into ACNL quite nicely, though. :P

I can relate to the designing aspect, I'm excited to move and finally decorate a place of my own. :)

the decorating aspect of the game is really the only thing that translates over into my personal life! i love decorating and seeing other people's rl interiors! :')

Haha I get it. And I am the same about my email.

Haha I'm not sure I want to know what my dogs are barking at me all day!

I agree! Haha but I am as indecisive in real life as acnl. I hove more $ in acnl than real life for decor too. :P

Me too! I love that people give you a tour when you come over to their house haha it satisfies my curiosity and general nosey-ness

If my dog could talk, dear god haha

Probably the design thing, I want to make my room look more bohemian so I'm picky about what I buy to decorate, just like ACNL. I also try to be a good plant mom and remember to water my succulent when it needs water.

If the game was super srs and required us to eat, then yes. :3 I need all my energy and strength for the interior design and athletics aspect of NL lol. But yeah, I do live in a tropical climate so the swimming (and diving) aspect should be more frequent IRL but I seldom go to the beach. (,:

Probably just the decorating and designing part. It really is so much fun decorating your room how you like it and showing off your style. Also maybe watering the flowers and tending to them. If only growing flowers was that easy in real life!

Yes, very much. I feel comfortable by doing routine and things the way slowly but also steadily building up step by step. It's pretty much reflecting to how I am in AC. *sweat*

the part where I procrastinate on finishing anything certainly translates over p well

nearly 6 years later, and I've still yet to put even a dent in town decorating. in fact, if anything, I've done the exact opposite

They do a little bit, yes. I get exhausted after talking to one person and hole myself inside my home for hours rearranging my room.

For me, both interior decorating and closet organization.

I actually realized very recently that most of my rooms that aren't themed end up looking like studio apartments, and indeed, my main room in my mayor's house looks almost exactly like my first ever apartment, not only in layout but also in the furniture and color scheme. It was completely subconscious! But now that I realized it, I'm going to go with it and add a small kitchen so it's an even better replica.

In terms of organizing my storage, in real life I organize everything by color and from left to right: blazers/jackets, sweaters, shirts, tank tops, pants, dresses, coats. My New Leaf storage is almost exactly the same, but with shorts, dresses, and head/feet items added in, and organized alphabetically within each type rather than by color. But now that I think of it, organizing by color might actually be a good idea for making color-coordinated outfits more easily...

A little bit, I think. I tend to never have quite as fancy of rooms as a lot of players, and I think that might partly be because of my messy room IRL. I also love ordering coffee in-game because I love drinking coffee IRL.

Hoarding anything with the slightest bit of sentimental value or that I could potentially use one day (even though I never will) is something I do in both real life and AC

Maybe procrastinating? In AC, I'm just like "Hey, I'll put the paths over there soon", " I'll get my house in shape." or "I'll reorganise the flowers soon"
But of course, I never do.

Being messy, hoarding, having plants growing everywhere, always wearing the same clothes, procrastinating...Yes pretty much. I'm richer in the game though.

The interior design, no doubt. I'm always about the feng shui of every room of my house (can get annoying lol). Also a money-saver. And I've always wanted to garden, if that counts?

Yes, I follow routines in real life and in the game. My husband will tell me he's ready to visit my town, and I'm like, "Wait, I still have to dig up my bamboo, talk to my animals, go to Retail..." For some reason, opening my gate in the middle of my routine throws me off completely.

Other than that, I'm also good at managing my money and paying off my loans.

Having a detail-minded brain, that very much used to be reflected whenever I played which is pretty annoying cause it leads to perfectionism a lot of times.
