Your catalog from Wild World was also transferred to City Folk I believe.

According to a forum post about 10 years ago (holy heck that?s a long while) on a gaming site, this is what was transferred and to quote part of the post:

Your Person
--That includes your eyes/face and your hairstyle NOTHING MORE, no hat, equipment bells items shirts NOTHING

Your Catalog
--Includes mostly everyting, EVERYTHING except, tools, gyroids, fossils and Nintendo items, Royal Crown
--Triforce, Arwing, and Master Sword can be brought over
--Feathers from donating to boondox can be brought over
--Everything is mostly UBER cheap, rainbow feather is under 500 bells

So I guess you were right about the catalog being transferred as well
