Do you use ''the path?''

I personally don't even though they look awesome. I like to place patterns on top of my path and also weeds too but the main reason i don't use the path is that take 15 slots. 15 freaking slots. No wonder people always complain about lack of custom spaces.

i don’t! while i think it’s super nice and i love seeing all of the different versions of it, like you said, it takes up quite a few design slots and i’m already running out of those as is aha c’:

On my original island I found I filled out my custom design slots too quickly to use the path. I always regretted not going for the path! Still, there's so many other great 1-3 slot custom designs that will look cool too.

I recently got another switch and started a more natural island and I've been using a variant of the path. It takes up even more design slots than 15 if you really want everything, single tile paths, accents, etc. It's definitely not for everyone, but I couldn't imagine my island with any other path but this one!

Oh yeah, all the time. I played a ton of New Leaf and, well, I just ran everywhere and that damaged the grass so bad that pretty much my entire island was just disgusting dirt in random spots until I learned how to cover it up with custom designs.

I don't even know if the grass-damaging mechanic from NL even exists in New Horizons but I'm not taking that chance, bro.

I love “the path” and use it in many places in my town, but I can’t stand that it makes that flat path sound instead of the sound of dirt. It makes me almost want to get rid of it.

I have the path in my design slots. But I haven't really utilized it as of yet.

I don't. I use this flower path decoration by Kanda and it's super beautiful.

Although it needs to be changed for the winter because it doesn't look good w/ the snow.

Nope. Maybe I would if it didn't take so many slots or if there was an option to put a path with a full central tile and the 2 at the sides or the upper and lower ones covered only 50% of the tile.

I have 4 "paths" I've used, but not actually for paths. One is wood planks for my basketball court, one is black and white tile for my diner, one is elaborate tile for my study, and one is cobblestone for a French bistro. All actual paths are the in-game paths. I don't like using custom paths for those. I need the foot sound, plus they just look better.

I have used and i have very much mixed feelings , I use custom border design flooring to give that extra touch to my floors and I very much like how it turned out and the look it gives to y town BUT I hate that now I dont hear the sound my shoes are making... so you see i feel like I have a predicament, shouldI erase them or no ? dunno

I have used the path 4 times I kept changing the type of path I was using first I was using a dark brown dirt path then went to a light brown dirt path. Then I decided I did not like the look of that one so I changed it to a light brown dirt path with flowers then I finally changed it to my medium colour brick path and I am finally happy with how it looks around my island

I use the original The Path but only the nine tiles and then two skinny ones, so 11 tiles total. it makes it just a little less versatile but I just have to work around it, I need to save my design slots for other paths and designs. I'm thinking about changing it to another type of nine tile path but I don't know yet. I have seen one that matches the in game dirt color which sounds cool because then you can fill in under trees and such. Maybe I'll get a themed one, like with leaves or some cute patterns.

The best part about changing it is that you don't have to replace every tile, you just save the design over the already existing design and it automatically puts it everywhere that design is being used. Saves so much time and makes me way less hesitant to change it up!

I use the original one. I don't really use it fully as a path, I just like to add variety with random bare patches.

No... I've thought about it because I have a natural island, but I found a design that I'm really liking in my current setup... And, like so many others, the lack of sound really bugs me. Even if we could just... PICK the sound a custom path would make from the ones already in the game, that would be awesome.

I prefer using the in-game paths so I don't use "the path" (can someone please link me to it though ). I do use a couple of custom stepping-stone designs just so my flowers stop spreading though!
