Do you use MeteoNook?

I use it and it is so helpful when there's a light shower. I got pretty lucky finding my seed because I had four heavy showers from April to June and a few rainbows and those were enough data to narrow down my seed.

I considered it... but putting data into charts hurts my brain 😂

Besides, I actually kind of luck the weather being a surprise! I'm in no rush to see anything, and it's always been a surprise in previous games, and I like it that way ☺

i swear by it! i love how it tells me how windy each hour is, and how i can see whole days, and i get excited. like, at the end of this month, i have a day where it rains all day, and i love having sunny rains. worth it!

I found my seed pretty quickly after it became a thing. Keeping an eye on the weather for a day and inputting rainy hours that I could find in my screenshots was enough, if I recall correctly.

I check it maybe once or twice per week now, just to see which days I can expect shooting stars and interesting weather. I like surprises in the weather but they're just a little bit too rare for my liking, so I try not to miss out :)

How much data should I need to input? Does it have to be consecutive days?

I gave it double rainbow occurances and scattered weather data on scattered days. And it says "no matching seed".

I use it. It took me a looooong time and a lot of testing to finally get my seed. I've been using it to track my meteor showers and light showers so I can get all of the zodiac fragments.

I use it and LOVE it, but it was definitely a struggle for me to use the seed finding tools initially. I restarted at least twice due to a wrong Star time, etc. However, don’t get discouraged! I absolutely think it was worth the initial headache! It is soooo handy at least having an idea of what days will have stars and when it’ll be a good chance to get a double rainbow pic etc. it also helps me personally avoid the stormy days, because I really struggle with the audio of the wind/storms and prefer not to play during those.

Oh my gods, you guys, I DID IT!! This will seriously be game changing for me.

For those still working on it, I found it easiest to work with a heavy shower, and then write the times (pictured here in minutes after 7pm) and note the amount of stars I counted for those minutes. When inputting the data to their chart, you don't need to know the exact second, just put them in as repeats of the minute. Then I added gaps where they existed. For every zero, you count that minute only. So blanks in between 6 and 10 only count as a gap from 7 to 9. I hope that makes sense...

Also, make sure you have the right hemisphere, guys. Lol

Ah I didn't realise you had to fill in all the shooting starts seperately as repeats on the minute! I finally got my seed now, thanks!

Can you guys explain what you mean? I didn't understand @LilBabyDelirium's comment at all really, and I am having such a hard time with Meteonook I wanna scream.

Are you saying if I see three shooting stars in the same minute, I should put them each down?

And the last part... I have no idea what that means and I just.... ugh.

It is absolutely worth it to input the data and figure out your seed! Not gonna lie, I didn’t do the data inputting, my boyfriend did. But I helped haha. It seemed that the most useful thing was know exactly what time stars occurred. We had a light shower that we actually noticed and we were able to track what times the stars occurred and we had our seed in no time!

Honestly I think it’s a life saver when it comes to getting shooting stars and predicting when Celeste will come. I don’t have to just stand there and do nothing waiting around to see if stars will show up. That’s really nice. I also enjoy letting people come to my island to get a Celeste DIY. While the app can’t tell you for sure what day she’ll come, it’s just nice to know which days she might come and prepare myself to spend a few hours with my gates open and be active online to let people come.
My friends and I will coordinate who’s island we have star parties at lol. I feel like it kinda gives my friends motivation to come over. I’m like “hey I have stars tonight, wanna come over and wish on stars and maybe water my flowers while you’re here” lol.

sorry, that was a lot to just say YES IT IS WORTH IT.

It doesn't have to be consecutive! It does take only one wrong bit of data to throw it off, though. From what I've seen from other users, this usually happens because it becomes harder to tell the weather as an hour progresses. For example, if it's clear and sunny at 1 and cloudy at 2, at 1:30 you will already be seeing clouds because it's slowly transitioning into the next hour.

For my own seed I went through all of my old screenshots and videos to find the hours when it rained, because rain always lasts for an entire hour - and since I wasn't sure what the difference between light and heavy rain looked like at the time, I just put all of it as "Rain, unsure". There were a few screenshots taken at the start of the hour too, so I put those in as well.

This was almost enough to help me find my seed. When I checked a few times at the start of every hour the next day and put that in as well, I did find it. I never put in stars and rainbows for my seed (But I haven't actually seen rainbows happen either...)

I use it. I think I finally figured out my seed but I won’t be sure until tomorrow when a rainbow is scheduled.

I ended up taking pictures of my weather and asking my Discord community for help because I’m horrible at telling the weather.

Good luck to everyone who is trying to figure your seed out right now! Don‘t give up! 💫🌈🌤💫

Honestly I've tried to use it but have had no luck so far. For days I religiously documented my weather patterns and input it into Meteonook but it never had enough data. And that's with many inputs per day. After about the 6th day I ended up giving up. I've never had a shooting star announcement, and only sparse showers. I'd love to know when I can expect that sort of thing but coming up empty after a week has drained my enthusiasm to keep going!

This only applies to the heavy showers where Isabelle makes the announcement and your villagers talk about the stars in the sky.

On heavy showers you get 5-8 stars per minute. On light shower, you always get exactly 5 per minute.

So on heavy night if you see 6 stars, input that time 6 times with no seconds. The seconds is really hard and being a second off will throw off the search for your seed.

I'm too lazy atm to input anything. I dont play much during the night so cant rlly use the meteor shower method :/ hopefully I'll be less busy soon and I can acc work it out bc i wanna see storms and aurora and rainbows and shooting stars etc
