I use it and it is so helpful when there's a light shower. I got pretty lucky finding my seed because I had four heavy showers from April to June and a few rainbows and those were enough data to narrow down my seed.
You have far more patience than me, my dear!DANGIT I INPUTTED ALL THAT AND I HAD THE WRONG HEMISPHERE!!! *** expletive deleted **** KGO DYSITZITZITDTD ***expletive deleted***JOJMSSDYHB ***head*** hit *** table ****
Well.
*starts AGAIN.* Third time's the charm, right?
Oh my gods, you guys, I DID IT!! This will seriously be game changing for me.
For those still working on it, I found it easiest to work with a heavy shower, and then write the times (pictured here in minutes after 7pm) and note the amount of stars I counted for those minutes. When inputting the data to their chart, you don't need to know the exact second, just put them in as repeats of the minute. Then I added gaps where they existed. For every zero, you count that minute only. So blanks in between 6 and 10 only count as a gap from 7 to 9. I hope that makes sense...
Also, make sure you have the right hemisphere, guys. Lol
Ah I didn't realise you had to fill in all the shooting starts seperately as repeats on the minute! I finally got my seed now, thanks!
It doesn't have to be consecutive! It does take only one wrong bit of data to throw it off, though. From what I've seen from other users, this usually happens because it becomes harder to tell the weather as an hour progresses. For example, if it's clear and sunny at 1 and cloudy at 2, at 1:30 you will already be seeing clouds because it's slowly transitioning into the next hour. How much data should I need to input? Does it have to be consecutive days?
I gave it double rainbow occurances and scattered weather data on scattered days. And it says "no matching seed".
Can you guys explain what you mean? I didn't understand @LilBabyDelirium's comment at all really, and I am having such a hard time with Meteonook I wanna scream.
Are you saying if I see three shooting stars in the same minute, I should put them each down?
And the last part... I have no idea what that means and I just.... ugh.
