Hello everyone!
I was randomly thinking about AC Amiibos, whether it be the cards or figures. So, I thought to ask if any of you use Amiibos?
If so, do you use the cards, figures, or both?
Do you use an external Amiibo card reader, or the one built in your ds?
What is your favorite Amiibo in the AC series?
Reply below your answers! Can't wait to read them all~

Yeah, I starting using them recently. Heck, it's how I got Astrid! <3333

I only got 2 packs of them last year, from WA. It was at Gamestop, it was like a 50 minute drive! That was the last store in my state that had them available. The first time I went there, it turned out someone reserved them. I went back the next day after 1pm to see if they picked them up and they didn't, so I was allowed to buy them.
Now, you can't find any amiibo cards in any stores I know of. I do know there are a few AC Amiibo figures at 5 and below though
I hope to buy some more off Amazon, since 12 cards just aren't enough for me anymore (:

I use them sometimes. I only have four Amiibo figures, though. Not sure if I'll ever get cards, but I'd love to have some of the WA villagers, like Hornsby. It's a shame they are so rare/expensive.
Oh and I use the built in scanner on my 3DS.

I have amiibo villager cards and amiibo figures. I use them often :)
My 3DS is old so I am using external card reader.
I like Celeste figure just because she is cute and has cute hair accessory. :)
I think welcome amiibo RV cards are nice to have but I don’t see anywhere in Europe at the moment.

I have the card reader because I have the older 3DS model but that's fine because it works and I don't use amiibo much. I basically only use the cards to get the special items or to move a villager I want into my town lol.

I use mostly card amiibos with an external reader. I only have 1 figure. My favorite is Etoile.

Yep, I use both cards and figures. I play everyday and I run an item shop, so I will use them at least once a day. I have an original 3DS, so I use an NFC reader. Though, my partner has a New 3DS XL that I use the built in one for at times. Based on cosmetic appearance, my favorite Amiibo figure would be Celeste. As for the Amiibo cards, I would think Isabelle #301 or ?toile. I love Isabelle's outfit in that card and the general aesthetic of ?toile; she represents my favorite Sanrio characters!

Yes I do, I have two Amiibo figures - Isabelle and Digby.
I have bought 3 packs of Amiibo cards, but in the UK you only get 3 in a pack (2 villagers, 1 special card). Ones I want to buy and I like the look of I buy on Ebay, but I usually just pick the cheap cards.
When it comes to using them, in my village of Shinjuku I have 5 amiibo villagers, and Tapwater 2 amiibo villagers.
I have the Animal Crossing 2dsXL which comes with a built in amiibo reader :)

ive got 2 villager cards and labelles, and then i have 3 of the proper amiibos as well now, i have used them for items and i plan to use both villager cards in my town at some point, whitney is already in both me and my partners towns thanks to the card, but im now thinking that when i get a spot free i want ozzie to also join my town (he looks super cute)>

I haven't used my amiibos in quite a while now, but I did try to make full use of them! I have a good number of amiibo cards in which I assume they're from either series 3 or 4. I have a few duplicates, with one of them being Julian (except I gave it away for free to one of my classmates back in high school)! I used them to get free MEOW coupons, used them for Desert Island Escape to not use play coins, and to use the amiibo camera function (my personal favourite).

Just want to say something about the amiibo cards. I hope they get reissued again like they did with the Smash Bros. amiibos. If they don't, I'm not too bothered, but I'm glad I was able to grab some before you literally couldn't see them in store shelves. Who knows what it must've been like if I didn't buy a pack from Best Buy. That's where I got Celia.

I also have some amiibo figurines from Animal Crossing of course. Reese, Cyrus, Mabel, two Digbys, Lottie, K.K. Slider, and Isabelle). I have an 8-bit Link amiibo too which summons Ganon lol. Apparently, you can order a bomb from him which never explodes, considering he's a villain after all. I was tempted to move him in to replace Gruff a few times, but he's one of my original five villagers and that he has the same birthday as me.

Since I use the original 3ds, I had to go out and buy an nfc reader (which they don't sell anymore apparently). Thankfully, I've gotten a lot of use out of it since it can be used on more than one system. My sister has a 2ds and Happy Home Designer and we would sometimes scan amiibo cards to cram in many villagers as we can in one house. XD

There's no way I'm going to buy extremely expensive amiibo online. I have more important things to worry about.

I have about 20 Amiibo cards in total. I have 10 regular villager cards. The first one I purchased was Grizzly because he's my favorite villager and I really wanted to move him into my town. Later, I also purchased Anicotti's card because she's my second favorite and I decided I really wanted to add her as well. Grizzly and Anicotti are my only 2 Amiibo villagers in my main town, Sakura. The rest are random move-ins or were invited from my campsite and I plan to keep it that way. I like to cycle through random villagers every now and then to see who I get and meet villagers that I maybe never would have gone out of my way to get.

The other 8 villagers cards are ones I purchased for my second town, Nocturne. It is going to be a themed town so I wanted specific villagers. I already have 2 of the villagers I want living in Sakura, so I'll just move them over to Nocturne when the time is right, but I went ahead and purchased cards for the remaining 8 villagers so I didn't have to stress about anything. Most of the villagers I wanted aren't popular so their cards were really cheap.

I also have about 10 of the Welcome Amiibo RV cards that I purchased in order to buy furniture for my two towns. I thought about doing trades on here for the items I needed, but trading and interacting with other people really stresses me out so I feel better having the cards on hand. Plus, now I have access to as much of the furniture whenever I want. I don't have to worry about what to do if I decide I want something later after New Horizons has come out and everybody has moved on to that game while I'm still playing New Leaf. I did spend more than I probably should have on the WA cards because I bought them separately on eBay, but that was the only way I could find the legit cards and I decided I didn't want knock-offs (no judgment towards people who go that route, it just wasn't what I wanted to do).

I don't have any Animal Crossing Amiibo figures, but my husband collects Amiibos just for the sake of collecting them so I have access to all of his Legend of Zelda Amiibos. But he likes to keep them in the package and I'm pretty sure I can't scan them that way, so I guess I'm out of luck if I actually wanted to use one. :p

I have 2 of the older 3DS's so I did have to buy an NFC reader. I was lucky to find one on the Nintendo Store website for only about $20. I've heard of people having to pay much more.

As far as a favorite Amiibo, I don't know. Maybe Wade the penguin. His was one of the first WA Amiibo cards that I bought. I love the furniture in his RV and he is just plain adorable.

Early on I used them to get all the items.
In my spare towns I used the amiibo cards to get an all Rabbit, Cat, Dog and Bears/cub villagers.
Real Towns scans them for villager gifts and remodeling a players house.

Favorite cards are Marty and Toby. Zen items in Toby RV are my favorites. For NPC I scan Isabelle figure so she can have a day off.
Use both to read the cards.

I bought two packs of Amiibo cards thinking I could get more later...and it was a big mistake...well I couldn't afford more anyway at that time so...but it was the last time I saw them. They disappeared the week after. Plus I had one in double :/ So I had just 11 until a friend here gave me 5 more. Later I bought some figurine as well, Cyrus, Reese and K.K. in pack for $19 I think...Then Mabel and Lotie. Here again, I haven't been quick enough, I missed the sales when they were sold $2 each and now i can't find them in my local store anymore. I use an external card reader and my fav...I like them all but I especially like Mabel.

Ah! I also used one card to invite a villager in my town, Chai, but I didn't know I couldn't summon their RV anymore after that (which make sense)

I don?t use them all the time but if I really want a villager or rarer piece of furniture I will!

I've bought the 3-pack AC figurines, but mostly for collection value. Those and the Ocarina of Time Link are my only Amiibos at the time. I'd love to have more AC ones, I really hope New Horizons does something fun with them.

I have a few of the figurines and the whole WA pack that I use with the NFC reader since my 3DS XL is the old one.

I do. I just bought some packs online. Going to try and post some trades soon. If anyone is collecting them as well. But can you use wisp when you are visiting someone’s else’s town?
