Like many here, I have invested quite a bit of money this month in order to play ACNH. I got my Switch Lite yesterday and since unlike my 3DSXL it has no cover to protect the screen, I just researched and ordered some tempered glass screen protectors for it. I have never used a screen protector on any of my devices. My one attempt at putting a plastic film one on a tablet was a messy and frustrating experience. But, I have invested too much in having this switch lite console already to risk scratching the plastic screen. After reading reviews and watching a few videos, it looks like with care, the glass ones can be applied easily.

Do you use a screen protector on your Switch or Switch Lite?

I use a screen protector on mine, especially because I'm super clumsy and don't trust myself with expensive things. I already am on my second screen protector since a friend dropped mine face down on their hardwood floor once and the protector cracked(the switch itself was fine thankfully), so I highly recommend to use one since they're fairly cheap.

Nope but I think I should actually.(I had one on my phone but there were bubbles on it cuz Im bad at doing it correctly x) )

No, only because I had forgotten I had one, thanks for the reminder. I had put it off so that my partner could do it as I would leave bubbles in it no doubt.

I have a regular switch so I absolutley put a screen protector on it. I've had my switch for a while now and I can see little scratch marks on the protector from docking and undocking it. I take pretty good care of my electronics but if I'm going to spend a lot of money on a console I'm going to keep it as pristine as possible.

I just bought a Switch lite late last week, I'm planning to buy a screen protector for it. :)

Nah, I don't move my Switch around without putting it in a case and there's not much danger around.

I do have a screen protector on my Switch. I always use it in the dock so I can play on the television, and back when I got it a few years back, everyone was talking about how it was apparently easy for the screen to get scratched when putting it in the dock even if you're careful. So, of course, I decided I should probably get one just to be safe.

I've got one to put on my switch when it arrives, but I know I'll stuff it up.

I've never been able to put them on phones or the 3ds either, and they aren't cheap.

You mess one up, just a generic one, and it's $14 down the drain.

Why don't they ship them with professionally fitted screen protectors?

I heard it's pretty necessary for switches because the dock can sometimes scuff the screen when placed in it. Some people just say a sock over the dock works too lol

Nope, I am not sure if I should get one. I only play the Switch un-docked mostly, and I am really gentle with my tech. If this changes, then I will consider getting one.

my switch was given to me with a screen protector already on it, its pretty bubbly but its good to have the extra protection, which is why i also bought a travelling case to keep it safe.

I do!! I?ve heard that Switches can get scratches when taking them in and out of the dock over time. But in general, I always put screen protectors on my devices.

Thanks for all the input folks. Looks like I made the right call. I ordered the Orzly tempered glass screen because it was well reviewed, the thinnest and claims bubble-free installation if directions are followed. I watched several videos and will use the hinge method of installation. Plus, it's a four-pack so I have room for error. Thanks again!

This video from the company has pretty clear installation info...

I use my Nintendo Switch strictly docked, only taking it out when required and I use a glass screen protector. You can never be too careful!

I have a screen protector. I got a free one with my switch and got it placed on properly at the shop. I have too many bad memories of trying to put screen protectors on my phone and failing, so definitely get a professional to do it for you if you aren't too sure you can get it on perfectly. I mainly use my switch in handheld mode but I've dropped my switch once or twice on its face and the screen protector definitely helped.

Glass protectors make the screen way more stronger too considering the Switch screen is only made of plastic. Definitely a good choice!

I don't. I was going to when people started reporting that their dock was scratching their screens but up until now I haven't had issues whatsoever. It does have a minor scratch but thankfully not on the screen or that would heavily bother me.
