I'm currently time traveling, but only because I wasn't able to play for awhile and am trying to catch up. I don't want to miss any days, so I start up on the date after the last I played. I will sometimes play a couple of AC days in a real day. It's currently May 5th in my town, so I have a ways to go. Once I catch up, I won't time travel. I don't time travel into the "future".
For the most part, I do play day by day but when I know a new villager is moving in then I will do the plot resetting method (this also goes for the campsite). Also, I am very impatient when it comes to waiting 30 mins for my items to finish refurbishing, especially if I'm refurbishing an entire furniture set. Lastly, when I start a create a new character then I will TT so that I can unlock the QR machine, going to the island, access to Cyrus, etc. The trick with TTing is that you have to be careful and to always talk to your villagers.
I TT daily, Well because. I AM ADDICTED. Lol
But i havent missed a day, i TT 1 day at a time, Just several days in one real day.
In my game my town is in December 2015 O.O
I prefer not to TT, but I have been doing it recently to finish up the villager line-up I am hoping for, and because there are a few town projects I want to complete but that might literally take me a year if I don't TT.
I did TTing just because I wanted ugly villagers to move out and get cuter ones instead xD I could also catch new bugs and attend to events etc. I don't do it anymore though, cause I bought a new game and I just can't play both of them if I TT
