I know it's not entirely possible to be completely even, but do you guys ever feel like you have too many of one kind or just try to keep it relatively balanced?
I keep finding myself liking too many villagers in one personality type.
I used to, but I just couldn't let Pierce go in Celadon. >.< Chrome has all the personalties (I got Ankha and Mitzi yesterday), and Trout has all of what it can have, there aren't any smug cats.
I wanted to have at least one of every personality in my town, so just decided on the base 8 and then thought about extra personalities. I already had both Tom and Knox in my town and wasn't willing to let either of them go. Coco was the last character I decided on. So I have 2 Crankies and 2 Normals, with 1 each of the others.
I'm always trying to have one of each, but sometimes it's kinda hard.. I like all of the female personalities and I really dislike crankies. None of them are actually cute and I always want to get rid of them
Yes I need variety in my town lol. One of each personality, but no more than two of the same. All of my villagers are a different species too. I originally wanted five girls and five boys as well, but I gave up on that (for the time being) bc I love my six girls too much.
I originally when I first decided on my dreamies had 2 smug, 2 lazy, 3 normal. No jock or uchi. But due to some decision changes and accidents I ended up with a town that had one of each personality plus 2 normal and 2 smugs.
I'd like to have at least one of each, but it doesn't really wok for me xD I'm looking at having 2 normals,2 peppies, 2 snooties, 2 uchis so I only have room for 2 male personalities but I love my villagers so much, I don't mind not having a jock.
Definitely not. I love the designs of the normals and lazies so I end up with an abundance of them.
I have 3 towns and only one jock and two crankies between them. Somehow I ended up with 4 lazies in my third and I don't have the heart to let any leave to bring in one of the two personalities I'm missing.. ;__;
The only lazy I had, Bob, moved away, so now I'm lacking a lazy villager. But other than that, I try to keep the last two villagers of mine any personal favorites. I do, however, have a really extreme like for snooty villagers, and they overrun my town frequently...
I like lots of villagers within the same personality type but I try to keep it balanced in my town. I just don't want the game to end up being repetitive, since a lot of dialogue is the same among villagers of the same personality type.
I like having one of each personality. It makes for more variety in terms of conversation with the villagers, which is sorely needed due to how lacking the dialogue is in NL. For the remaining two villagers, I think that I'd still only want two villagers of the same personality at most. I have three Lazies in my town right now (with one of every other personality), and as much as I love the Lazies, it's getting a little tiring. So far, I'll probably end up with two Normal Villagers and two Lazy villagers, but I'm not sure yet.

My current favourites are smug Lopez and lazy Prince.
