do you try and keep your villagers' houses original?

No to be serious, I just try to keep their houses decent enough for my dream town visitors. I've seen dream towns with amazing customized villager interiors though, must have a lot of patience to do so (◎_◎

I do! Because it really bugs me when a house is so fugly due to insects and fish. I feel bad. xD
But I do try to keep villager houses in a specific theme. Like Apple is mostly polka dot series, Deirdre's is mostly Modern Wood, and Stitches, is mostly Kiddie themed.

First off...I HATE the concept of selling villagers...it is basically slavery.
Second, about this topic. I don't care it they have their original house or not, as long as they look cool. I have been trying to mind something to give Rolf and change up his TERRIBLE starting home. I have also been giving Skye, the Mermaid Set, and Ribbot the Robo set, and Marina a few Lovely items she didn't have.

Maybe Slavery is to harsh a term, but still, I HATE the concept of selling villagers, it just seems wrong! It is probably the biggest reason Marshal is my least favorite character in the whole series.
It's not Marshal's fault, think how he feels, never finding a home, constantly being sold
I would say it's a harsh term since it's connected to one of the worst events/actions in history. saying you don't like it or w/e is fine though /_\
On-topic, I do try to keep their houses original since it generally looks better that way to me. But adding furniture that goes with the theme of their interior is a-ok!

I know but still everyone is just so obsessed with him...but personally....I REALLY don't like him, basically because he is the mascot of the 'selling villagers' concept.

I think some starting homes look TERRIBLE. Rolf's for example...I am trying to find good 'out doors' themed stuff for him like the Rainbow screen I gave him, but...I am relly having a hard time finding stuff for him. Some villagers I like their starting himes, but think they could have a better one. Which is why I have been giving Skye the Mermaid set, because I think it looks really nice (and this is coming from someone who can't stand mermaids!), and I have been giving Ribbot (one of the best pun names EVER!) the Robo set, because.......do I even need to say why?

I don't really try keeping anyone original. I'm actually in the process of trying to steal most of Pashmina's furniture. Because I don't sell here (I don't own anyone particularly valuable) I'm not too fussed about whether or not they're 100% original with all their stuff in the proper place. My villagers can do what they want, basically.

lol. Trash. It's too much effort to keep them original. Ankha was original and proceeded to put all her furniture up for sale at re-tail even though I gave her nothing. It's fighting a losing battle..
Mira recently started doing the same thing recently. I keep buying her stuff and mailing it back to her. Hopefully she will put some of it back in her house.

i send my dreamies furniture that suits them. i dont care about the rest. at the moment, im tryin to replace marshals furniture (i dont like the sloppy set) and im sendin wwhitney classic furniture. still havve to think of what furniture i wwant carmen to havve.
Nope not really. I more care that it's all cohesive and fits the theme. Wendy I replaced her furniture with the pave set which looks amazing. Zucker I try to stick to Asian food themes. Octavian space items...Apollo modern furniture...you get the picture though. Kabuki is probably the most original since I just got him. When I got marina her house was a wreck but now it's back to mainly lovely furniture.
If they're in my second town then I try not to gift any furniture so that they're original for people. But if I'm trying to earn their picture it depends. I'm holding marshal for a friend and trying to keep his house in original state but at the same time earn his picture. Although I know she doesn't care about his house...I still think it'd be cool to get him to her mainly original.

This thread deserves a bump. I do care,but keeping their original stuff is a pain in the a**. Especially Marshal and Diana's. I am currently hunting down to where marshal's couch and bed went just so I can give it back to him. Dont even get me started with Diana-s expensive furniture.
