I do time travel aha. People look down upon me for it, I seriously don't understand why. It's a feature in the game. Maybe it wasn't originally intended to be used, but it is and it's not hurting anyone, it's just a way for people to enjoy the game at a faster pace for those who get bored of going day by day.
I love my games, and going day by day means I, personally, lose interest in the games at the slower pace, and by time traveling, I keep my interest and enjoy accomplishing things much faster than most people enjoy. Just how I enjoy games, and I don't shame people who take things slower. It's just preference really, and the fact that people have arguments over it is just silly.
Time travelers don't hack or dupe (some don't, that is) so there's no harm done, like I said, just preference. I know and play with people who take it slow and others who TT, and we enjoy playing together. That's why I ask if they mind if I give them gifts/show them things they haven't unlocked yet, because some people think it ruins the experience. I think it changes the experience, but it's just as fun and enjoyable as taking it slow, and vice versa.
No, I don't have a reason for it. It would make the game last a much shorter time for me, and I love having a full on- all year round- animal crossing experience. I just love how Animal crossing makes you "feel" time..
I don't need to just get all the shiny stuff right away..
i time travel sometimes. not daily. only by a couple hours though (like im awake at 3am and then i set the time to 7) and yeah. i dont do that a lot and i only time traveled by days in the beginning.
I do, but rarely and only by a day if that. For example, one time I had went crazy buying furniture for my house because I had paid off my loan and finally got the upstairs room. My timing was off and I still had to wait another day until the room was actually there (for some reason I forgot that it takes a day after you pay it off) - I was so impatient as I had just gotten the dream suite a few days earlier and wanted to show off my house, so I tt'ed to the next day, then once I got the house I tt'ed back lol.
I usually force myself not to TT, but an incident involving my sister's Olaf unexpected moving in after she herself accidentally TTed him out forced me to TT to get a villager out in preparation for a dream villager's arrival. -_- Still hurts every time I see Olaf wandering my town.
I've done some day by day time traveling, but only because I kept starting at the beginning of the game. I reset my town once, then bought a second game. I don't want to wait over a month to recover what I've already earned. I enjoyed time traveling in my second game because it really took away the dreadful wait on villagers to move. However, now that it's nearing the point of progress that my first town is at, I'm going to slow down. No buff with time traveling, it's just how I like to play and makes me feel more accomplished and sentimental to the work I put into my towns.
I like to time travel. I guess I played harvest moon too much because those days were based off an in game time.
I dunno, I suppose I play usually one day per day, but I reset the clock to morning when I start playing and let it go till whenever. I also don't care to play many games in an in game night. I like it to be sunny.
If I didn't, I'd get stuck playing some really weird times of day.
Yes. I wasn't going to, honestly, but I got the game on the day I was going on a 7 hour plane ride. Started the game and realized on day 1 you literally can't do anything. So yes. But usually only to move out villagers, because I can't wait for pwps to be finished, to give a villager to someone else, or when I'm travelling.
For example, I'm on a 20 hour car ride right now. It would be boring without time travel.
i TT something fierce.
right now i'm a little over a month ahead of actual time because as soon as i get all the daily things done and get bored i go to the next day. my town currently has all the colors of fall, and all my olive bushes are oliving.
ive been thinking about turning the clock back to the right time and playing normally until the pace starts killing me again.
lol yeah i played too much harvest moon too
i only got this game to hold me out until pokemon XY, so i dont take it very seriously
I only time travel when Redd appears so I can get as many real art pieces as I can at one time. I'm already almost completely done with the art section of my museum even though I've only seen Redd, technically, three times.
Nope - sometimes it gets a bit boring with having to wait for the next day to arrive but I'm too paranoid about losing a villager or something by doing it.
