I used to, but I got careless and one of my favorite villagers, Benedict, moved away. So now I don't because I don't want to lose any more.

Nope, but to each their own. I had to go foward an hour, though, because the clock messed up. Or I set it wrong, I don't remember.

I do. Not too far though - I'm too impatient to wait a day for a PWP to finish and too lazy to go too far forward/backwards one day at a time :D

I'll only TT back to days that I haven't played (aka, going on vacation or out of town.)

I sure do. :D I've been able to give a few other players their dream villagers because I TT.

Needs a third option:
Only when I need to/Not avidly.

I do not Time travel unless something comes up where I feel I have to. I used to do this with older games whenever I missed a day or two. Or if I knew I was not going to be able to play for a period of time so I would either do some work ahead of time then pause the time/date or just pause in general and continue moving forward.

Or recently, had a case where my dream villager was available in someone's town but I didn't have space. My villager was moving 2 days after my dream one would be gone. So I played ahead (slowly), doing all my daily things and once I have my moving villager gone and secured my dream one, I paused the date until real time caught up. Pretty much didn't play, save a few times reorganizing the town whenever I was bored.

Other than specific scenarios, I do not time travel.

I'm wondering why it's OK for TTers to say their proud, but not for non-TTers.. it's a mystery to me. :P I think everyone should play the game they way they want, to get the most out of it.

I don't. I tried it before in my old town and it just made the experience of the game a bad one. For me, at least. I like the feeling of achieving something with real time. The suspense of waiting for the store to be built, or the excitement of waking up to find a PWP completed. TT-ing just isn't my thing. It ruins the experience for me. Playing by the real life clock is very enjoyable to me, and I get a greater since of achievement and pride when I complete something.

But, for some people, TT-ing is their thing, and I can completely understand that. It just works for some people, and that's wonderful. I've also heard of people TT-ing because of their work and real-life schedules stopping them from visiting shops and such. If some people get more enjoyment from it, so be it. To each their own.

I'm just saying it's not my cup of tea.

Agreed.

It's not that. It's the fact that they imply that TTing isn't a "legit" way to play the game. Like it's cheating.

Yeah, and we're not saying non-TTers can't be proud, they just shouldn't imply that our towns aren't legit.

Yup. But I really don't care what anyone else thinks. If people want to say it's unlegit, that's fine. It's my game, I'll play the way I enjoy it. That's the way it is with non TTers. If they want to play by the clock, that's fine.
