i didn't at first but halfway through moving villager houses i got annoyed and just tt so far ahead and got all the houses moved in like an hour
now i just tt all the time
I did at some point. when I was just starting I made some mistakes and got a whole lot of bad villagers. because I didn't want to wait to move all of them out, I reset my island (it was only a week or so after release). after that I set my clock back to the day of release and sped through the process of the first 8-9 days making sure I got more villagers i wanted this time. after that I stopped and played day by day. it's the only time travelling I did. I have been tempted though, and I do think I might do it in the future
I started TT-ing I think 1 months after release since I was pretty unhappy with moving out villagers. I only TT to cycle, not that interested in spoiling myself the seasons so I kept cycling in the same month.
May as well answer too. I don't time travel and haven't time travelled at all yet. I was super tempted too when I was building my residential area (moving all my villager houses) but I decided against it. I'm super glad I didn't tbh, it feels very authentic to experience it this way but I definitely don't blame people who do TT! it's perfectly valid.
I did once actually to get the May day event since it wasn't working, but it didn't work for me, the only good thing was getting a nice item from Able sisters. Might do it again though for the campsite method if possible.
Like if I'm in the middle of designing my town and all of a sudden I have to drop everything and wait for a day just because I want to move Midges house out of the way, it's a buzz kill, so I skip ahead a day and back a day (without doing anything on the advanced day) so I can get back to my town designing.
Likewise if I order stuff that I want quickly or something similar, I'll do the same. I'll also only really do it if I don't have Turnips at risk!
When I first started playing on May 5, I TT'ed in my first 2 days (since I wanna catch up), but it got old pretty fast and wasn't enjoying the game TT'ing so after that I stopped TT'ing completely, I did still TT when I'm missing something for catalog that someone ordered as I have a shop but that's it, after that I haven't TT'ed
I've yet to TT in ACNH, I'm not gonna completely deny the possibility that I will do it at some point but so far I haven't felt the need. I'm really enjoying the game while taking it slow. In ACNL I used to time travel decades and back without hesitation so it's actually super refreshing to play "legit". Feels much more satisfying too!
I don't, mainly because I enjoy the day to day durative aspect of the game and working on and building things up over real time. I've started to become more busy irl lately too and a lot of the time I only really have time to run through my daily tasks, so the idea of TTing is slightly daunting!
Started too just to cycle villagers. I limit myself to staying within the month and I think I'm going to put a pause on it so I can start getting to know this group of villagers more
I time traveled a lot recently only to move out some of my villagers. But, I must say, TT is super exhausting for me, so I won't do this again, since I'm happy with my current residents.
Yes and no. I try not to, but I'm not above doing so if I feel like I need to. I don't TT for things such as economic gain, but I have TTed to remove a villager so I could get Pietro.
I personally try not to TT much because I do think it makes me feel weird about the game.
I like being on the current day, but I did TT to get most of the villagers moved in/out faster. Same deal with construction. Now I plan to do it only for things like getting the sakura DIYs that I could not get for the life of me.
