I was curious how many people do and how many don't. I used to time travel a lot but now I'm back to day to day. Though its kind of hard now because I'm waiting for the sewing machine since I reset.

I used to have some kind of moral stance against time traveling, but once I started doing it, I realized it wasn't a big deal. I actually didn't TT at all until I reset my town - I was so eager to get things like the sewing machine and the shops that I just stopped caring about ~playing legitimately~. I can see how it would definitely ruin the game for some, though, so I respect those who play day-to-day all the time.

I used to time travel so that I could buy turnips... Now that I'm getting attached to my villagers I'm not willing to do it anymore.

Only when i am trying to get rid of villagers and at the beginning of the game , because it takes way to long .

I use to time travel to make a lot of money, get all the main street buildings, finish pwps, get a lot of landscaping done, etc. But I've finished a lot and the only thing I'm doing now is growing flowers; so I'm just letting time pass normally. I may still do it sometimes, to quicken a house upgrade or receive stuff I ordered. But not like I use to when I first started.

Depends on my mood each day. Sometimes I just want to check on my villagers and save/quit, sometimes I finish everything I can for the day but I still want to play longer, so I TT to the next day. It really all depends.

I don't myself. I can see why people do, and don't have any issues with it. I'm just not interested and would rather play the game day by day. I feel it would be boring to unlock everything really fast. Sometimes I think time travelers are weird and obsessive, but then I remember that I soft reset Pok?mon hundreds of times to catch natured and IV'd legendaries and realize that everyone plays their favourite games their own way, hehe.

That said, if I stopped playing for more than a week, I'd time travel back to the day I quit, go forward until someone moves, stop/allow them, and then return to the real current date. Besides that, I just don't care to.

I used to never, ever time travel. But I got into the MUST GET ALL MY DREAMIES!!1 phase, and started. I used a cycling town to gather up who I wanted, then would time travel my cartridge copy (my cycling) and my digital copy (my town). One day, in a stupid not paying attention haze, I somehow managed to TT my town too far, and lost my ultra dreamy (PUNCHY! RIP PLS COME BACK).

Since then, I haven't done any TT'ing because my heart broke, and I can't be bothered to cycle to get him back.

Now I have vowed to never time travel again!

When I restarted my game recently I started in 2014 (basically I rewinded to the day I quit) and I've been TTing slowly everyday and I will do so until the present. Once I get there I'll stop... maybe lol. I'm too into landscaping my town right now with bush starts and I can't wait a whole day to buy them T_T

i swear this question has been asked a million time.

I'm sure most questions have "been asked a million times." We wouldn't have anything to discuss if every question was only allowed once. It seems that bumping old threads is frowned upon here, which is why new threads come up so often. In the 3 weeks I've been here, I've seen, "What's your town name and why?," questions about 10 times. LOL. I answered a few times, but I'm not going to post the same reply in every similar thread that comes up. If it bothers you, don't click on it.

I have never time travelled and never plan on time travelling. TT'ing just seems like it ruins the game. Animal Crossing is a simulator and time travelling goes against the whole point of it being a simulator, because the stimulation in which its set isnt supposed to include time travel. I can understand that people can get impatient and eventually feel the need to TT but in the end i dont really think its worth it because your missing out on the main aspects of the game itself. :/

I played for a year before I ever time-traveled. I got sick of waiting for Redd to bring the missing pieces for my museum, so i started off time-traveling back and forth to the day he was in town to get different art inventory to appear. Of course in learning the ropes I accidentally lost a few villagers to move-outs, oops. Now when i do it i mostly time-travel to speed up hybrid flower growth.

I'm often attempting to cycle out unwanted villagers to make room for dream villagers, so I time travel every time I play. Even when I'm not attempting to get a dream villager, the normal rate of play is too slow-paced for me. Back when I started my towns, I wanted all of the shops unlocked as fast as possible. It would also take forever to earn bells at a normal rate because the shops close and then you'd be stuck with bugs in your pier inventory all night.
