I would definitely be ok with paid DLC as long as it's good stuff and adds a lot to the game. I would not support microtransactions, those annoy me a lot.
I hope not. But it also makes no sense for Animal Crossing? Like what would they sell, bells? furniture packs? That'd be a riot. I could imagine a paid DLC with a bunch of new content, NPC and all furniture sets as a one time deal to pay for an elevated experience. Should be later on though.
Swan: I hope there isn't, or if there is it's done in a way that's fair or doesn't impact gameplay too much. I don't want to be behind others in a game just because we're poor in real life.
Paid DLC is likely what this would mean. For reference, Pokemon Sword and Shield both have "in-game purchase" listed on their ratings, and the only content that costs real money is the upcoming DLC. I have to imagine that this is the same treatment New Horizons will get. Which is great...because it hints at something more substantial than just adding a new event here or there. It probably means that larger islands, or new places to visit could be possible.
no. paid dlc is always a possibility in the future beyond the updates that are simply adding in events and old features/npcs but i doubt micro-transactions will be a thing
I'd love if they released some paid DLC! It'd be cool if they added some more furniture/DIY projects
...Just so long as the paid content isn't something gacha related like the fortune cookies from Pocket Camp
I'm kind of expecting to see paid DLC. I'm not happy about it, but I really can't see any other reason for them to try to balance out the economy other than they NEED it to be balanced. If they add in say Roccoco furniture into a store and someone buys it with real money so they can sell it for in game money, then they'd need to balance the economy now to prepare for that. Otherwise what's the point?
