A meteor can't strike Earth. It's scientifically impossible.
Exactly, it had *censored.3.0*ing Substance enough to cause the theorys.Away236 said:LOL. Y2K was a system failure, because it slipped the programmers' minds that it was possible for a year 2000 and beyond.Neko Yuki Pyrozanryu said:Look dude its not happening.Away236 said:Ohhhh...you never know. you just never know.Neko Yuki Pyrozanryu said:'from whats been going on lately'?Away236 said:It's highly..likely....from what's been going on recently.
The fact is only theese thing can cause this theory to be correct:
1. Meteor strike (wont happen for 100 years so yea)
2. Nuclear war/Holocaust/Winter. (The only country which can start this is America and with Obama as president i dont see this happening).
3. Worldwide Famine (give it another billon years)
4. Alien Invasion/ Interstellar war (Just no)
5. Global Warming (Just no, Really).
so its NOT likely. its probability are in the billons.
Since there is NO evidence to back-up this theory.
At least Y2K had SOME substance.

Besides, if one did, wouldn't it shrink to a tiny pebble as it shoots down towards Earth?ViewtifulJoe said:A meteor can't strike Earth. It's scientifically impossible.
Thank you!-Niko said:Bah, I don't believe in the world ending in 2012, that's when the Mayans believe the Fire Age will begin. Which pretty much means that it has nothing to do with the end of the world, but rather just the beginning of a new age for the Mayans.
If it's big enough it could.ViewtifulJoe said:A meteor can't strike Earth. It's scientifically impossible.
An asteroid can strike earth. There are asteroids bigger than Earth itself.ViewtifulJoe said:A meteor can't strike Earth. It's scientifically impossible.
Way to bump an old thread.d7crab said:What about the Sun shooting a giant flare at Earth or tempatures rising so hot then that we all fry, or all plants die, etc.
Also the Yellow Stone erupting would not affect ALL of the USA. The ash and soot that come from it will affect a portion of the world. The gas cloud would not kill EVERYTHING just a very large amount of plants and animals
Sorry, I keep getting May and March confused and I don't know why. Also I didn't want to create a new topic on this when there are already a fewMino said:Way to bump an old thread.d7crab said:What about the Sun shooting a giant flare at Earth or tempatures rising so hot then that we all fry, or all plants die, etc.

As for that supervolcano at Yellowstone, the amount of ash it would put out would affect the whole world. The Krakatoa eruption in 1883 for example, precipitated a global decline in average temperatures and chaotic weather for years. The Yellowstone volcano is far, far larger than that one.
