since getting new horizons, i haven't really played the other games i own (new leaf and wild world). occasionally i'll walk around my old towns just for fun, but i don't actually put time into it. they're nostalgic for me, but i gotta admit the new horizons is a better game...at least in my opinion. i tried to get back into wild world but just couldn't stand how little there is to do now that i'm used to new horizons! do you still play the older games?

I still play the GameCube one on the odd occasion, but mostly to just mess around with glitches and stuff.

I fire up the GC town my sis and I shared about once a year to text her goofy stuff we wrote in the diary and on the bulletin board lol. New leaf I just check and then play for the music. That evening music has a feeling of true ending to each day that makes me shiver.

Since a week ago, I got back to NL. Been playing it daily, like 10~15 minutes per day. I don't have much to do there now, so I even allowed a villager (Gloria) to move out. Hopefully I'll get a villager I like.

I was also trying to emulate Doubutsu no Mori e+ on my PC to test the English translation, but while my weak of does run it, it does so in such a way that is basically unplayable unless you're a very patient person lol

I've lent my Wii to a friend some time before the whole pandemic started, so I can't play ACGC (my disc and memory card are still here tho).

Fee days before NH's release I tried to give WW a second chance, and while I like it's OST, the gameplay is atrocious, specifically the controls (I can't decide what is worse: using the dpad to control a character on a 3d environment or using the stylus do so...)

Absolutely - I don't play Pop. Growing! too much anymore because I spend more time at my computer than in front of the TV - buut I do still play NL and WW pretty regularly. I never really played Let's Go to the City! because, I mean, what can I say, that era of the Wii and games in general was all about Rock Band and Guitar Hero for me.

I get on New Leaf now and then to check dialog. It's kinda hard through, after playing New Horizons, the graphics for New Leaf are putrid

There is something different about the way villagers act.

I talk to Tom, and he decides to give me a gift. In New Horizons, this happens I guess, but usually done through them thinking.
Rosey wanted to do a gift exchange, so she offered to trade me one or her items for mine
Punchy talked about buffets, and also mentioned a rumor of Ankha leaving (She is, so there was no good dialogue from her)
Wolf Link asked me to find him furniture
and Rudy called me "Ladybro" :'(

A good majority of them asked me to do something for them

Annoyingly, Villagers hide on main street which makes finding them hard.

I'll need to get on Wild World and see what's up there.

I'm a fan of Animal Crossing, but not so much that I want to play the older titles, and suffer to the poor inventory and other stuff that was improved in new leaf and horizons.

Thinking about going back to ACCF recently. I could never get into the mixed motion/regular controller movement and chose to go back to ACWW. Now I'm curious to see what I might have missed in that game.

i don’t. i sold my copies of new leaf back in 2017 and haven’t had a copy of wild world in eons lol

I haven't played any of my New Leaf towns since New Horizons released, but I have no intention of abandoning them entirely. My towns all have their own themes and particular residents that, in combination with New Leaf's idiosyncrasies, leave them as appealing to me as they ever have been.

I revisit my old GameCube town sometimes, but usually just for the nostalgia. Not much for me to go back and do in it.

As for the other games, I never played Wild World, Happy Home Designer, Amiibo Festival, or Pocket Camp and I disliked City Folk, so there's nothing for me to return to there.

Will always hop on Gamecube and maybe even New Leaf for a nostalgia trip. Wild World? Eh...

I haven't played any of the older AC games in years, nor will I any time soon, though one day I would like to go back and replay them all for a week at a time or so.

Not really, however in anticipation for NH coming out I did make a new town on the GameCube version, I actually started with one of my favourite villagers - Winnie

I think that's actually why I specifically like to play NH with the top down camera, I love that they made that an option this time
