Simple question, I am taking German 1 right now and I actually kinda enjoy learning it, even though my teacher isn't very good at her job.

You don't have to speak the language very fluently, just to know greetings and how to get around.

I learn French and I've got one of the highest grades in the class, But I can only understand French writing, Not the best at speaking it.

Spanish. I wouldn't be able to discuss Einstein's theory of relativity, but I could carry on a normal conversation.

Technically English is my additional language haha. German is my native tongue and I learned English. I also know some Spanish, Swedish, and Dutch.

Wow, it seems a lot of people here looked into learning languages and more than one...

It would be nice to do that but as far as I'm concerned I'd rather focus into learning German, but maybe Estonian but they use a different grammar style, similar to Russian.

I can speak/understand Spanish almost fluently. I was in spanish class for 8 years in school, I just stopped this year.

Fluent in Russian (seeing as both it and English are technically my 'first' languages).

I'm betting most people who said they "speak" another language took a few classes, but wouldn't actually be able to speak it well?
