Do you prefer island hopping, campsite method, or trading?

I tried the campsite method for the first time today and I finally got Judy!! Not even a single nmt needed ^^

Campsite method for me. Island hopping is a scam. Lol. And I don’t like villagers with memories of a previous island plus I like the feeling of getting them myself so I don’t trade.

I do island hop quite often, but I usually resort to getting the villagers I want through the New Neighbor Network. I really don’t have any self control, huh.

As much as everyone hates island hopping, I love it! I love the anticipation of seeing of seeknf if you find your favorite. I don't time travel a lot so I haven't done the campsite method, though I'm sure time traveling back and forth between two days would work. And I don't want to do villager trading unless I have run out of NMTs, and I haven't found a good villager.

I do island hoping but I also do a lot of trading. I think I prefer to trade for a villager just because I have a set dreamie list.

i did all trading to get my villagers, which i kinda regret right now. i wished i island-hopped more so i could feel more satisfied. if i'm doing a second island, i'm going to rely more on island hopping luck than trading

I like island hopping, but if I find a dreamie on the New Neighbor Network, I'd trade in a heartbeat so I choose trading as I have the assurance I'll get someone I do like rather than be frustrated when I don't encounter anyone I like

I prefer to find villagers on my own. I feel that I bond better with them if I found them organically. Also I don't trust other people's villagers, they might have weird catchphrases or outfits haha. Most of mine were from island hopping but had to use campsite trick for Raymond.

I've only sold villagers to others, never bought any of my own.

in terms of efficiency in looking for one particular villager, campsite method would be my method of choice. but i either just let a rando move in or island hop until i get the personality that i'm lacking now.

I love island hopping, it's sooo much more fun to me than the campsite method, hahaha. I don't really like trading, because I don't like my villagers having memories of other islands, or clothes/furniture from their other owners.. I guess it's kind of selfish, but I want my villager to be 100% original~ And island hopping, whilst frustrating, is just SO fun once you get someone you love. It's also so fun to go through the struggle of finding someone cute, and then having the inner dilemma of "should I take them anyways?!?!" (That's how I ended up with Sherb and Lolly when looking for Chief.. my new besties)

I have such bad luck island hopping that I just trade lol I tried campsite method for kyle and didn’t get him sadly, not even raymond or marshal came so I could get enough for him with them

uhh depends. I don't tt in my main town so the campsite method is out (and I just use amiibos) but on my alt town the campsite method is literally the most fun and exhilarating thing ever and you get to experience that without the feeling of burning your hard earned tickets
