Do You Plan on Buying Switch 2 within first week of Launch?

I don't plan on getting it until there's an exclusive Animal Crossing, Zelda or Pokémon. And even then I'm torn.

My family might consider getting me one, but I think money's getting tighter and tighter so that's unlikely.

I'm concerned about the battery. Sounds like it doesn't last as long, and even if it does, apparently Nintendo have been hoarding all the consoles for months anyway to combat supply issues. My prospective switch 2 is probably in some dark cold warehouse right now losing its cells

Yes! I was really surprised when the battery life was listed as 2-21/2 hours! I’ve almost always played my switch docked, but I do take it on airplane flights and the flight I take most regularly is a 4 hours flight. Yes I have a large battery back up but its reaching end of life so that would be another expense on top of this already wild priced system.

I won't get the new Switch unless they give me a new Animal Crossing. Maybe even an Animal Crossing Switch 2 Edition. That I will buy! But for now? Nope. Not a single game I'd like to play on the Switch 2 and for THAT price it's not worth buying what's basically a Switch Pro just to play ACNH with less lag. lol

I won’t be getting one until an Animal Crossing or Pokemon game comes out that doesn’t have a switch 1 edition. My switch lite’s like 5 years old, but it still works pretty well, and I don’t need to replace it, especially for the prices of the switch 2 and the games.

I thought about it when I first heard about its release date but then I decided it would be best if I waited until it has some more games released or announced before I consider buying it. I figure I’ll get it around December if I’m lucky enough to get it or something. Let’s see what happens, I guess.

There are not many games that interest me other than Mario Kart, and Professor Layton, but I still ordered one for release day. I'm just hoping there's no hardware issues.

I'm definitely gonna try to buy a Switch 2 before Pokemon ZA releases in October.

I might try to get one as soon as July for DK Bananza.

But that depends on the availability.

I haven't got any plans to purchase the switch 2 at the moment I am not sure if I can with that price $769 AUD.

Plus I have a switch lite that I use instead since I have little hands and find it easier to hold.

I’m waiting for an inevitable revision that will probably increase battery life. Last console I bought at launch was the 3DS. Never buying a console at launch again. I’ll let the early adopters find out all the issues that need to be fixed before the revision.

Have more than enough in my backlog to hold me over… If I even decide to pick up the Switch 2.
